Traveling through North Carolina we stopped there for lunch. Buffet style with lots of selections. For $10 you can get a lot to eat. Good service, clean bathrooms.

This was my second time visiting Grandsons and I must say that was even better than before. If you want great southern style cuisine, then Grandsons is a great place to dine. Located off I95, Grandsons have a wide variety of foods to chose from, including desserts. I will say I wasn't impressed with their version of banana pudding which... More

The buffet consist of fried or baked chicken. Cream potatoes, rice, beans, tomatoes, cabbage, greens and more. The food is prepared southern style. Don't forget to try out the hoop cheese. Desserts are available and salad too. Try our southern sweet tea is a must. Another specialty is biscuits and grandmas molasses if you do not see any on the... More

Only ate here once. It was average food..very small buffet. The place is old and run down. Needs a good cleaning top to bottom too. The locals seem to love it..but i dont plan to return.

First suggestion would be to label the food items so us northerners would know what we're eating...😬 Nothing fancy but we had our fill for $15 each Had delicious fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, Mac n' cheese, ribs, sweet potatoes, sausage. The pulled pork looked really dry but we didn't try it. Salad and soup and lots of... More

I went to Fred Chasons Grandsons Buffet for the first time today 09-15-2016. Oh My God! This was some good eating.... The atmosphere was casual. The restaurant was clean and you were escorted to your table. The staff was outstanding and willing to help you with anything you should need. The food was out of this World! They had everything... If you're looking for country cooking, this is the place to go. Conveniently located near I-95, this is a spot for locals, travelers, & large family gatherings. It can get crowded around 5pm on a Saturday. While we don't frequent it often, we go, on average, once a month. Service is quick, and the buffet is well supplied. This is... More

It's a bit expensive for a buffet (about $12 / person) but the food is like your Mother or Grandmother cooked it in her kitchen. Mostly southern so if you're not into fried food, sorry (they do have baked and broiled also) It's kind of hard to explain, but the food is soooooooooooo good.
