Have been enjoying this restaurant for many years when traveling to the Outer Banks. Authentic Thai food with many levels of spice and heat to tempt you. Never disappointing. Variety of fresh choices, appetizers, salads, main courses and of course deserts. Local seafood adds to the local flavor. Beverages available from teas, sodas, to beer-imported and domestic to mixed drinks.... More

I'm kinda obsessed with the Thai Rooms food. The Thai Room soup is totally my favorite. I would eat it everyday if I could. The pad thai and drunken noodles are amazing as well! Don't waste your money on the yucky greasy Chinese take out places. Get quality food from here.

Seems like we don't always have great expectations for restaurants near the beach - especially if it's not seafood. This is an exception. The Thai food is really good. We had a great conversation with the owner about cooking Thai food - not just the ingredients but the order in which you use them. He described why his menu is... More

We stayed across the street from here and grabbed lunch to go. It didn't seem too busy, but we waited a while to be helped. The food was pretty good and hit the spot. It did seem a bit pricey for how much you got compared to other Thai places I've been. Although we didn't dine in the place looked... More

At first glance you wouldn't think you're in the right place! But the chef or owner was so sweet and accommodating! She explained all the dishes and was happy to answer any questions! She said she would even customize an order. She sang a bunch of songs to our big group as she was serving, which was an awesome touch... More

We ordered take out (20 mins wait). Got 2 orders of satay, chicken fried rice & pad thai - $45 - yup. The satay was OK, the sauce was waaaayyy too sweet. We requested for spicy pad thai - again too sweet. The rice was OK, but got more eggs than chicken. They need to go easy on the peanut... More

If you like Thai food, you'll love this place. The shared starter was really tasty and we mixed and matched our mains. If you like your curries hot, go medium :-)

Pad Thai, fried rice and Mongolian pork were particularly tasteless. Particularly disappointing for $60 take out for a family of 4.

This was our 3rd year visiting the Thai Room and it will be our last visit. Our food was bland, overly sauced, and left us with headaches and stomach pain. Never again, Thai Room :(
