They are famous around the area for the BBQ. They cater and good meal. The restaurant itself is quaint and out of town but has a very country style look. There is a toy train that runs on a wooden track around the ceiling at times and is fun to watch. The slaw is the best around.

We have eaten there twice this past year but hopefully we will be eating there once a month next year as we are in Sparta area to attend to my family cemetery on the Parkway. Good was DELICIOUS and better than any food in that area. Ate at Brown's 2 times...first and last but will be eating at Motley's a... More

Casual reasonably priced bbq. A little out of the way, but if you are in the area it is worth a try.

Nearly every part of this meal was greasy and unappetizing. One enjoyable part was the hushpuppy appetizer, but it all went down hill from there.

Made the almost 30 minute drive from Sparta on a Saturday night, this place is in the middle of nowhere at a crossroad between somewhere and somewhere else. A nice little joint, though, great family style restaurant. The barbecue was pretty good, though the sauce was a bit lacking. Eastern style is not my cup of tea anyway, but this... More

I have mixed feelings about this one. I arrived about 30 minutes after a group of about 30 bikers showed up. The staff were super busy with the flood of customers. So the wait times were pretty bad. I do not fault them for this situation. The staff were very pleasant and wonderful work with. Which is why I am... More

Cute little place off of the parkway. So glad to find it!! Will be back. Food was really good. Atmosphere was rustic. Bbq was good, ribs out of this world. Good menu options and variety with reasonable pricing. Loved the book exchange located outside. Planning a trip back

CWe did not like this restaurant. The bar-b-que had a fatty taste. It is very popular with the locals however but folks around here love country ham so the taste was probaly o.k to them. We are originally from the deep south and enjoy a different style of bar-b-que.

Everything I've tried is delicious, though my favorite is the pulled pork and baby back rib combo (yum!), reasonably priced, and served by friendly staff.
