We hadn't been to Capt Larry's in quite awhile and my husband wanted seafood. The menu had changed a lot since last time we were in there. They have a lot of things besides seafood now. I decided to have pot roast over mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans. The menu said you could substitute another side for salad bar... More

Went with a group of about 18. Everyone was delighted! Food came out fresh and piping hot. Not a bad dish to tell. Service was great and the prices are friendly!

I read through the reviews on Tripadvisor and started to think I had eaten at a different restaurant from some of the other reviewers! We were traveling from Wilson to Charlotte and were looking for a place to eat lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We took the exit where St Andrew's college is figuring there would be something at least.... More

Very well prepared and reasonably priced fried shrimp, flounder, oysters, and scallops. Very good and plentiful hush puppies and the best Cole slaw in Scotland County. Varied menu but their speciality is fried seafood.

The food was ok but the service was so slow. We had to ask several times for salad plate, tea refills, silverware and we would sit for 15 minutes or more and have to ask again. The salad bar plates were the smallest I have ever seen, like coffee cup saucer sized.
