The food was what I would expect from this strip mall, small restaurant. Decent, with good hushpuppies and slaw. Fish and shrip were both fine. Service matched the food. Owner came out of the back literally yelling about something to his son at the front and the waitresses. They did not seem moved by this, so must be a common... More

Shirley's is hidden in the back of the shopping center..but it's worth looking for. The food is good and very reasonable priced. I especially like the flounder sandwich or flounder platter. Daily specials are also very good. Not much atmosphere but great food.

If you want fried seafood, this is the place to go. It's fairly cheap for the amount of food you get. But the atmosphere is super casual, much like a fast food restaurant. And it's located in a dumpy strip mall. But the service was fast and efficient. The oysters and shrimp were really good.

This restaurant is consistently the same and their meals are like good country cooking. The service is very good and they have specials all the time that are excellent.

Everything is fried and greasy, the crowd was not good, did not feel 100% safe, will not go back! Did not like it, not much selection, felt like it was super low budget service and food.

Went here because of rating, were expecting more. Nothing special, food and service ok, maybe just average. Overall disappointing.

This is definitely an off the main drag, hole in the wall place. Mostly locals. But don't cheat yourself out of a really good, cheap meal because of that. The burgers are huge and tasty. This time I had fried chicken, string beans and fries. There is a longer wait for the fried chicken because it is cook on request.... More

The fries chicken dinner was okay, the fries were a little soggy but the gravy was my favorite part. All in all, it was a nice stop.

Looking for a quick bite on the way to Ocean Isle and came across this hidden gem on this site. Well worth getting off the highway for generous portions of fried shrimp and fried ousters. Light batter, fresh seafood and great friendly service. Ask for Wendy...she's awesome

We had dinner last night. This was the best shrimp ever. Very light tempura batter and super fresh shrimp. Very large servings too as we could not finish our plates. The shrimp plate was only $9.00. This is a local, no frills restaurant. Service is very friendly and relaxed. We will be back to try the oysters. They serve breakfast... More
