This is our 3rd and last visit. Went for a friend's birthday lunch at the Pavilion. It takes too long to get service and food. The music is so loud, you almost have to scream for conversation. Ordered the Caesar salad and hummus plate. Rook forevet and we had yo chase down the waitress to check on order after everyone... More

Met some friends from Chapel Hill here for a lunch and a tour of the gift shop. Three of us opted for the "Trifecta," a three course meal, consisting of a wine pairing with each course. The first course was a potato soup which sure seemed like mashed potatoes in a bowl, and a glass of light white, second course... More

A wonderful place to have lunch. Beautiful grounds. Restaurant has a large gift shop and offers tours of the vineyard. Lunch was delicious and the portions were filling. They do take reservations and I suggest you make them and ask for a window in the corner if available. The restaurant does not open until 11:00 AM but tours start at... More

We stopped at Childress Vineyards for wine tasting & lunch. The Bistro had a varied menu & it was hard to chose just one item. We ordered deep fried pickles for an appetizer & we weren't disappointed. We sat outside (very small area) & enjoyed our delicious salads & wine. Tracy, our server, was lovely. She provided quick & outstanding... More

I took a friend here for lunch on Saturday for her birthday and the food and service was impeccable as usual. I made reservations earlier in the week and they called me on Friday to confirm. It's pretty much always necessary to make reservations because this place is very popular especially on weekends. I had Judy's Chicken Wrap (great as... More

The Bistro at Childress Winery has a beautiful setting for lunch. Varied menu served. Grounds of this winery are gorgeous. Also has a large shop to sell wines and other items.Tours of the winery are available most days (call ahead). Relaxing, beautiful place to spend the afternoon/morning.

Arrived at our reserved time and were seated promptly only to wait and wait and wait. Took forever to even get water. Asked about the special and were told it was warm pecan pie and ice cream???? Hello! After finally coming back for our orders for 6 people, we waited, waited, waited---only to be served 5 orders. Were told they... More

My friends and I love to meet here for lunch. The food and atmosphere are great and a good glass of wine makes it the perfect lunch spot. Recently I had a surprise birthday luncheon for my mother and the staff helped to make it work. If you are traveling through Lexington, it is definitely worth the stop.

Loved this place. Really great choices for lunch and looking out into the vineyard was beautiful. Had a tasting right after our meal to top it off!

We just drove up to Childress Vineyards today for lunch. Very pretty to look at and I'm sure it's nonstop weddings from April - September for a good reason. As for the restaurant, we were the first to arrive for an 11am lunch reservation. First and foremost, North Carolina has a law prohibiting the sale of alcohol until noon on... More
