First of all, for the vegans, they make their own veggie burger which does not fall apart while you are eating it! It comes with salsa and chips. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the vegan diet and went through each item to make sure it would be dressed with only vegan products. Secondly, the oyster po'boy was delicious and... More

Hey thanks for your review. We do pride ourselves in having some great vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options along with our seafood. We want it to be a place where anyone can come and eat. 😊 More

Went here after a lazy afternoon of walking on the beach, watching the waves, reading and repeating. Had a short wait for a table Delighted to be seated away from the bar area where patrons were talking loudly to each other just to be heard above the noise. Our dining area was quiet in comparison yet carrying a quiet conversation... More

It does get a little noisy at times, and it's kind of hard to predict. Of course the off hours are not as bad. I am glad that you enjoyed everything and that the service was good. Thanks for your review. More

When staying north of the Bonner Bridge, we always have at least one meal at Tortugas' Lie, a Caribbean themed bar/eatery. The place is usually very busy with the dinner crowd, but the bar area is a great place to wait for your table. They have a wide selection of beers as well as a variety of "tropical" drinks -... We went for lunch mid week and it was very busy and VERY loud. The food was average. The service was good. The décor was cute beachy. Seems like it would be a great place to go to watch a game.

It does get a little noisy when it's busy. I think that's part of the atmosphere of Tortugas. I guess it makes a meal not as enjoyable if your not ready for the noise. I'm glad everything else was good. Thank you. More

Went for dinner with a group of 6 based on a recommendation from a friend who is in Nags Head a lot. We were seated in a cramped booth that should not hold 6 people. The inside seating is limited, but think there is additional seating outside. Although the place is not fancy at all, everyone's food was outstanding. They... More

Outstanding. Saw this on TV on Guy F's DDD the night before while enroute to the OBX for an annual vacation. KARMA! Family all went there the next day on the way to the house in Duck and just wow, awesome food. Had the special of the day which was a hamburger with fresh lump crap meat stacked on top.... More

We were saying in Salvo and it's worth the drive. Sat at the bar the 1st trip in with our little guy. (4 year old) Had a great meal and experience. Today we had a table and I was so looking forward to some shrimp steamers. Sadly the steamer was broken. When I was eaten my double order of the... More

This place is always busy. We had to wait outside for about 20 minutes but worth it. We had steamed shrimp and vegetables. - excellent - the shrimp was really fresh. We also had conch fritters which we didn't like as much but others might. Good beer and wine selection and fun place to go for lunch or dinner.

Be prepared to wait, but worth it! We had the fish tacos (tuna) and the lobster. It was all good. The staff is fast and fun. No leisurely dining here. You are in and out fast. Large bar area is packed with sports fans and there's a volley ball court out back. Fun place.

We ate here one late afternoon a few days ago. The restaurant had been recommended by our cabin owner, and I liked the way that there was food other than fish to be had at this place. Simply put, we had a memorable dinner here. We had a booth at the front of the restaurant where the walls are covered... More
