Friendly atmosphere with nice outdoor area. Service is pretty slow so don't go if you are in a hurry. Food is not bad but not outstanding. Would recommend their hot dogs fully loaded. Wish they had more to offer than the terrible bean salad that is an option to go with. I usually just get the chips.

I have been to The City Tap on numerous occasions during differing meal times. The food is always very good and the staff is friendly. But I have to question their service model where you have to go up to the bar to order and then receive a number for food delivery. There is always a log jam during busier... More

We go every Tuesday for the creative taco creations but sometimes get the homemade soup and salad or something from the menu. The food is all very fresh and nutritious. They do not have an oven or a fryer and even though most people go for their beer selection, I go for the food!

My mom, sister, and I decided to stop at The City Tap for a late lunch (around 3) on Saturday, while we were still in Pittsboro for the day. The inside is very dark (too dim, especially for a nice, summer day) and pretty small. It was cold, so we decided to order our food and sit outside instead. The... More

The plowman's lunch and a pint of beer make you feel like you've gone back in time. The space is small and cozy- the food homeade. There's also a nice eating area outside. The are tucked away behind the Pittsboro main street.

This place has a cool outdoor area where the live music is always hoppin'. When there isn't live music you'll be listening to tunes over Pittsboro's own celebrity amp maker, Carr Amps. As a plus, the sandwiches and pub food is awesome!

Pub style atmosphere with a good choice of local brews with yummy sandwiches, Reuben and Ham sandwich with a sweet potato chutney. Our only complaint is they were out of chili for nachos.

I usually go there to see the bands. The staff are very busy always seem to keep our wait to a minimum. TCT also allows my girlfriend to bring the type of wine she prefers and we simply pay the corking fee. The menu is standard bar food but is very well prepared given that there is not a full... More

They usually have about 6 draft beers on tap. The sandwich choices are good and they don't have a kitchen. There are daily specials on good and drinks.
