About
Ask any Italian-American what ‘gravy’ is, and they'll tell you it's the pasta sauce that their mothers and grandmothers cooked fresh every night. At Gravy Restaurant we take the same care, preparing our signature sauce every day using select tomatoes and locally grown herbs. The heart and soul poured into the preparation of traditional Italian-American dishes pairs with inspired modern twists and a focus on seasonal ingredients to define Gravy’s unique approach to this classic cuisine.

Look. I have been to Italy, NY, and Il and I have never EVER had lasagna like this. It's the best in the world. I'd put money on it.

Quaint, bright and good. Enjoyed the appetizer fried risotto balls-served over a light marinara with Parmesan cheese. Had the eggplant pie and homemade bread knots. Great for lunch and reasonably priced.

This restaurant is in an older restored building and has a lively atmosphere. The space is fairly small and a lot of tables are crowded together. The kitchen is partially open with a screen partition separating it from diners. It sounded like the cooks were...More

I was challenged with finding multiple restaurants in downtown Raleigh that would accommodate a group of ~10 each at a reasonable price to have work dinners. Gravy was easy to work with, even with a last-minute request to move our time by 30 minutes. When...More

The aroma of flavor fills the room from the open kitchen. This small place might seat 50-60 at capacity could be more but it’s quaint. Service was good, martini was ok, but the food was the star. The risotto balls, meatballs were delicious. We all...More

I had heard mixed reviews but I wanted to try the half price spaghetti and I wasn’t disappointed. The pasta had the perfect chew and the meatballs were quite flavorful. Only con was the tiramisu was dry.

We enjoyed the chicken parm and the spaghetti and meatballs. Both were very good. This is good Italian food, not the best I've ever had but still very good. You do need to make a reservation before going. They have limited tables and if they...More

Looking for a late spot where you'll get in relatively quickly, Gravy of the place. Very nice quaint set up. Menu is pretty straight forward. Long Island Ice Teas were made perfectly!.

It’s been years since I’d given Gravy a go. And wanting a night on the town with my sweetie, I booked us a pre-holiday weekend engagement. First, I forgot how informal it ran here, both it’s own decor and it’s clientele. The appetizers were unappetizing...More

I don't think this is the kind of place that would sell you a gallon of their wonderful sauce. But you could try calling them.
