Great place to watch World Series games with a raucous local crowd and good beer list. Think twice about the corn chips and sausage gravy - you'll hate yourself in the morning.

You can tell this is local because it's not too fancy, or upgraded, or hipster. The bar runs the length of the main room, with small booths lining the wall. A separate area is also a dining room. Service is spot on, with a great...More

Wonderful burgers, can't go wrong with the special, whatever it is. Our family eats at PR at least once a month.

Friendly place to have dinner, typical bar food. Good burgers, decent ribs, great apps. Sat outdoors in the shade and enjoyed the weather.

In 1951, Bernie and Mickey Hanula founded the institution known as the Players Retreat. Less or a bar and restaurant, and more of a family. With menu options for every appetite, the PR remains a popular respite for the young and the old, the rich and the poor.
