Loved the decor of the building. Owned by David from Vietnam who took time to meet our group of Vietnam Helicopter Pilots. Food was interesting and large portions.

I ordered dinner to go while staying at a nearby hotel. We tried a noodle dish and a stir fry dish, both were average, vegetables were fresh and food was hot but nothing exceptional. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly.

Third time I have been here - really good. Service is good (maybe even a little too personal!!), and food is consistently good. Back in the day, this was Darryls on Hillsborough which was a great place to eat - this was before General Mills...More

The restaurant occupies the former Darryl's on a corner at 1900 Hillsborough Street. The conversion is lovely with lots of exposed brick - it has the flavor of an upscale big-city restaurant. We had the excellent hot and sour soup - more subtle than the...More

Nice warm atmosphere and good food. Several types of dumplings and appetizers. Good Asian soup and regular American-Chinese dishes. Great for couples, family and friends.

Join us at David's Dumpling and Noodle Bar, a new restaurant at the corner of Hillsborough Street and Oberlin Road. This unique eatery is owned and operated by Chef David Mao, a successful restaurant owner and culinary innovator in Raleigh since 1976. Over the years, if you have eaten at the Mandarin House, The Abacus, The Great Mall of China, The China Cafe and Grille and most recently, the Duck and Dumpling, then you have enjoyed David's inspired menus.
