Wife and I went there for dinner on a weeknight. Reservation was not needed but the restaurant was busy. Meal was delicious. Wait staff was very helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend when looking for something different.

Excellent dinner experience, with the large group I was part of. Servers happy to recommend dishes and starters for our group which was very helpful. Great ribs!

All the food is fresh, flavorful, and interesting. The drinks are superb as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh. For those who aren't local, this was the first restaurant opened by the owners of the now incredibly-rated Brewery Bhavana.

Very nice, but small place in downtown Raleigh, make reservations or you'll be disappointed. The food has been excellent both times I've been here, and I will definitely be going back again.

The food here is excellent and the atmosphere is different. Because it's so good the wait is that long but worth it.

Despite showing no availability via Open Table we were able to walk in for lunch and be seated in 5 minutes. Curry chicken with Jasmine rice was great, just wish the portion was a little bigger. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive despite a...More

When I went it was a young, hip, casual crowd. Nice won't stand out but fancy or formal will be out of place.

Description
Right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the diverse food and culture of Laos. Bida Manda is one of the very first Laotian restaurants in the US. Sanskrit for father and mother, we name the restaurant Bida Manda as our way of honoring our parents in Laos who taught us everything we know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together. Our parents' recipes are the inspiration for our menu. Every dish on our menu is exactly what we grew up eating. They are the kind of dishes you might find on the street corners of Luang Prabang and at a Laotian home. Come in and go away with us on sensational culinary journey to Laos. ------ Whether it is a birthday dinner for 10 guests or a corporate event for 100+, we will work with you to craft your memorable dining experience. Please contact Vansana Nolintha at vansana@bidamanda.com for more information.
