About
Right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the diverse food and culture of Laos. Bida Manda is one of the very first Laotian restaurants in the US. Sanskrit for father and mother, we name the restaurant Bida Manda as our way of honoring our parents in Laos who taught us everything we know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together. Our parents' recipes are the inspiration for our menu. Every dish on our menu is exactly what we grew up eating. They are the kind of dishes you might find on the street corners of Luang Prabang and at a Laotian home. Come in and go away with us on sensational culinary

The atmosphere and service were very good. The food was very good but we didn’t think it lived up to the hype. Definitely worth the try. Not on my must return list.

I'm all about fusion, Asian, Korean, Vietnamese, etc. so this place seemed like a logical choice and based on reviews which rank it among the top places in Raleigh, I needed to check it off the list. We arrived at 5pm on a weekday, to...More

I think this place was ok. The food was good but really for what you get is over priced for the type of food served. The service was good and the food just ok.

I had a great time here. The ambiance was amazing. Awesome decor. The Pho bowl I ordered was sooo flavorful. Next time I look forward to trying other items on the menu. Can’t wait to return.

Once Again Bida Manda Delivers. My Brother in law relocated to the area from Hawaii. The first place my wife and I decided to share with him is where to enjoy a meal. Every bite was delicious. The sea bass wrapped in the banana leaf...More

Incredible food! Worth the wait for a table! Atmosphere feels like you are in a bigger city. We waited for over an hour for a table and went next door to Brewery Bhavana which is unique and cool in itself! I will be headed back...More

Terrific experience. Food was delicious. Spicy enough to make you want more but not so spicy to bite you.

When I went it was a young, hip, casual crowd. Nice won't stand out but fancy or formal will be out of place.
