Looking for a new place to eat in downtown Raleigh . Craving some pasta . Vic's in City Market popped up . What a find ! Staff were awesome . The salads were large and fresh . The pasta was cooked to perfection topped with chicken and mushrooms . Eager to return for some of that delicious looking pizza .

Looking for a place to rest & relax, w/great food? That is what we found yesterday, after touring the NC Museum of Art. We need a place to rejuvenate .. & we found it @ Vic's. They have a big sign that faces the road, but the parking is tight, especially around lunch time. The parking lot is behind the... More

I don't know how long that Vic's has been here but I regret not knowing about it until this week. I was looking for a new Italian restaurant to try and went to Tripadvisor. I saw Vic's and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is very casual and nothing fancy but the food is... More

Absolutely loved my experience here. Went to explore Downtown Raleigh and searched for a pizza place. Found Vic's Italian Restaurant, and the pizza was AMAZING. #1 pizza on my list. Great Atmosphere, outside seating, brick road, lights over top. sever was friendly, I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Wonderful casual Italian cuisine. We stopped by for a drink and dinner on a Friday night enjoyed a casual meal of a simple pizza with basil, mozzerella and fresh marina sauce on a thin crust pizza. Also, that a scallop with ravioli dish with a bacon cream sauce. Delicious! Also had a penne dish with chicken and a creamy tomato... More

A group of 8 of us dined here last night. Everyone had entrees except for me. I had pizza. Entrees ordered were lasagna, eggplant parm, spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi and veal saltimbocca. Everyone loved their food and the portions were huge but I thought the pizza was bland. I would try it again but not order the pizza.

As a second generation Italian American from South Philly, I cringe wheneverI am invited to go to an "authentic" Italian restaurant. Most of the time I am disappointed with the food. Vic's Restaurant proved to be the exception. The pasta actually had some texture...that is, it was not overcooked. The spaghetti sauce tasted like tomatoes and not like sweet, red... More

Well, he was right, it is one of the better Italian places in town; especially it is located in the historic at district of Raleigh. Second it has an excellent ambiance. Third, the food was great. Some improvements to the service would make much better. The calzine I ordered need a different tinge to it. And they were not generous... More

This is the cutest place ever. The staff is very friendly and attentive. One of the wait staff was speaking to another individual in Italian and I sure wish I understood. It sounded like they were really enjoying themselves; laughing and carrying on. The gal who took our order was very polite and brought our food out quickly. I ordered... More
