Just happened on this place while walking in Raleigh. The lunch was fantastic. The special was gumbo, red beans and rice and jambalaya. To die for! Make sure to get the fresh and hot biegnets for dessert. You don't need them, but you'll want them....More

I lived in SE Louisiana for 8 years and have been in NC for 3 now. This gave me a reminder of the food I used to eat down there. The flavor and spice was the closest I've seen since I left. I ordered the...More

I'm not an expert on cajun food, so I can't comment on how authentic it was, but I know it was very good! I had the Jambalaya and it was great! Plus, the service was really attentive and helpful. We had a large group (10...More

The Big Easy is a Cajun/Creole theme restaurant. The decorum is what one would expect while visiting a New Orleans area restaurant. The day we visited was a busy Labor Day weekend for downtown Raleigh. They either didn't staff enough people or they had no...More

Good food and drinks great place to hang out late night typically a live band on the weekend. The atmosphere is lively and upbeat, mixed age crowd but mostly millennials. Most of the food ia good but avoid the ribs they're not so great.

Funny didn't see many eating food. The place feels more like a bar than a restaurant . There's a back room and upstairs. Very dark. Rough concrete floors, exposed brick walls. Enjoyed some great tunes, fun crowd and no cover surprisingly. May have got in...More

First visit to the place. It was a little dark for my liking. I was seated right away which was great after a long day and a snowy cold walk from my hotel. The service was good as I was hungry. Thankfully the place was...More

This place LITERALLY has it all. When you walk in the place, you immediately hear the Dixieland jazz playing on the PA. There are wrought-iron fixtures, a vintage-looking chandelier, and the exposed brick façade that if you look at it long enough, you'd think you're...More
