Had the minced BBQ tray and was disappointed, the cue was cold and tasteless and the slaw tasted funny. Also the staff was a little cool to outsiders.

This is a classic Piedmont North Carolina barbecue restaurant. The atmosphere is "down home" and just what you would expect. The barbecue and hush puppies are both excellent, and consistently so, whether dining in or getting take out. We've nver had a bad visit.
Short sugars has been here for decades.they have won many BBQ awards. To get the feel of Reidsville short sugars is a must. To me it is the best in BBQ. There sauce is the best. Great service great people great food. Highly recomended
