What a lovely surprise. Great staff with superb views.
All Covid protocol followed.
Before 4 pm it is mainly a breakfast menu with a few lunch options.
I had the vegetarian sandwich which was grilled and was simply amazing.
A unique veggie pate that was full of flavour.
My guy had the shrimp guedille (rolls) which were packed full of shrimp.
The side salad with our dishes was very tasty,
We ate inside but there is a lovely covered patio.
Some great artisan offerings on the property.
Worth a visit.

We had supper here one evening, and returned for breakfast the next day. Both meals were delicious. The staff were very friendly and for breakfast we were able to sit out on the covered patio area. That’s a good choice of food, and at breakfast the coffee just kept flowing. We had to wait a little while for a table in the evening, but once seated the food came reasonably quickly.

After initial confusion of "it's a restaurant!" versus "no, it's a cultural centre!" we stopped for supper and again for breakfast the next morning.
The ambiance is nice, with the airy interior evoking the essence of period buildings in the area. Nice views of the water from some tables.
Staff were friendly and attentive and the food turned out tasty and delicious.
This is in an area where choices are somewhat limited, so finding a good restaurant was welcomed!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this full restaurant near to Park Forillon at the end of the Gaspe. We were there early in the morning. We had a lovely server who helped us with our French and got exactly what we wanted. She also took time to tell us about the highlights of the area as she lived locally. The meals were delicious, attractive, cooked to our specifications and attractively arranged with fruit and of course creton. Our experience at Le Griffon set the stage for our pleasant time in Petit Gaspe.

We had dinner recently while camping at Forillon National Park. I would definitely recommend this cafe for a meal. Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the cod while she had a seafood dish (don't remember what it was called). We had shared some cod cakes as an appetizer. All three dishes were had were excellent. My partner enjoyed the Spanish red wine she chose to go with her meal and I was thankful that the waitress pointed me the right way for my beer choice (draft). The one I originally asked about she pointed out as being "sour" which I think she meant bitter, which likely meant it was an IPA. I cannot tolerate IPAs and was so happy that i went with the my second choice, a local wheat beer.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant for a meal if you are in the area. Not really cheap but certainly not really expensive either.

On the road again & another great discovery👍
I needed a coffee and it was going to be a long drive until reaching another stop until we saw this cafe/ museum by the water front.
I was taken by the sculptures & other art works exposed outside by the building & was able to actually go in the cafe to enjoy my coffee & saw they offered a complete menu for breakfast, lunch& supper..
I ordered brunch that was actually so good with good home made bread, fruit salad accompanied with the meal.
As far as the price is concerned it was quite good for the quality we were served.
Great discovery…& do not forget to take in the scenery👍

We had dinner here after a day in Forillon National Park. The cod burger was exceptional, service excellent and dessert was a1 delicious!!
We had a lovely bottle of wine which we took to the beach as we waited for our meal and then were able to take the remainder with us for another meal. Highly recommend!!

Went for a breakfast. Very disappointed. Poor service, the host barely said hello. For the food, you really understand that there is no competition. You cannot compare with a big city. Ordered 'house waffle" and it was a joke.

While we would go back and it was one of the nicest restaurants we have seen, we had two very uneven visits. The first one (brunch): service was great and food OK. The second one (supper): service was horrendous (waiting list appallingly managed, rude waitress) and food was good. There is not a lot of choices (food and drink) and the place is small. Absolutely a must if you stay in the area but maybe not worth a long drive if you are not.

Lovely setting by the ocean with quaint dining room and terrace seating. We were delighted by a gourmet breakfast. I had the smoked salmon benedict, homemade bread, good oatmilk latte. Great service in English! Will return.

Great chowder and seafood au gratin. Very attentive and friendly service. Give it a try. Some outdoor work going on at the time of our visit so not much to look at if you are eating on the patio.

We did not want to travel too far from our motel. I had a seafood gratin. A cheesy oven baked mix of scallop, shrimp and lobster in a potato cheese mix. A good choice when its miles away from a poisonnery (fish market) and fresh can be a few days old. Food was good Gaspe authentic.

We were late for lunch after hiking in Forllion national park and so we stopped again (with low expectations). May be with a new chef, food seems more refined especially yummy deserts.
Try basic food like pizza - we tasted both Italian and seafood and they are both good. Steak sandwich and lobster sandwiches, soup all good. Fairly priced as well.
As usual, service can be slow as they do not have enough waitresses and NEED to utilize the young helper who can definitely deliver dishes. Chef did a good job but if it is left on the waiting table for long, it is no longer good.
To their credit, at least our food did not stay long in limbo before they bring them this time but still happening to other customers while we visited.

Service was great and fast, can't complain. Servers really nice people and welcoming. Food was on the avarage, basic and standard. Nothing fancy or to die for.
