I really wanted to like this place. we especially travelled to visit. We found it pretty but the service was very rude - we had heard this before and chose to ignore it and go anyway as people can just have off days....however we struck...poor service. No matter how pretty the place was it really dampened our whole experience. The service was very passive aggressive - it really left a sour taste in our party and we all left feeling very unsatisfied. The meals were ok - not fabulous and the coffee breakfast order came out 5mins AFTER we have finished our meals.. I really think they need a better system in ordering as you need to line up and there is not orders taken at the table.. It really takes a lot for me to comment on service as I understand cafes get busy but we all noticed it. A shame when a cafe gets a good reputation but then seems like there is an arrogance that comes with that. I would not recommend and I would not return. I noticed there were lots of other fun cafes nearby that I recommend. A real shame.More

Coffee was barely lukewarm. Bacon and egg roll was dripping with oil. At $15 for just a basic bacon and egg roll it was a mile overpriced for what it was. Wouldn’t recommend. Wouldn’t go back!

I took my daughter here After finding a table and sitting down, choosing what to eat I got up to order at counter. Was told the kitchen was closed at 12 and they weren't serving anyone! It was only 11:30am! I asked what about the...already made food in the glass cabinet on counter? Or coffee? They said no! Was very disappointed. Ended up going to another restaurant up the road! Will try again when my daughter is back in town! Looks like you have to get here at 7am if you want to eat!More

Nice food and atmosphere however they really need to offer table service to order or a way to order online. Came here for family breakfast and my husband had to line up for 35 mins to order food while we sat at the table alone....Kind of ruined the family breakfast vibe. Have noticed this a lot with other restaurants and once they bring in app ordering or table service the vibe is 150% better, shocks me how such a nice cafe doesn’t offer this. Wouldn’t return due to that but if they changed it definitely would return.More

Going to Ipsich? EAT Here! These folks are so darned friendly & the food's fabulous. Every wall tells a story, so I floated while awaiting my meal...I love nice nooks and crannies, and right around the corner I plowed straight into Vintage Advantage to find...an antique pair of ear-rings, that had our daughter's name on em! Even the toast in this venue is exceptional, spread thick honey on yours! When I visited, the locals all stepped-aside to let the Fire Bragade Blokes (2 lasses) order & run... Village people make me happy because they do this stuff, without even thinking... Loved this town!More

Such a positive atmosphere for a coffee on a cold morning. It was a little place to sit and unwind or could be used as a business space

It has been a LONG time since I have left an establishment of this style still hungry. Whilst the food tasted OK....., it was minimal to the extreme and undercooked. The coffee was good enough to leave behind. Really not impressed on the food front...and rather hangry on exit. Serving time on the food was reasonable.. drinks.. noooooo. Had to wait ~25 minutes for the breakfast drinks... well after the food had arrived and evidently as had everyone else's food been ferried to their table's in this time span. On the plus side. This place is super cozy, very relaxing and engaging with it's environmemt and the staff are super patient and friendly!More

Wow wee first time to a most delightful Café ,everything was spot on dedicated ,beautiful friendly smiles and service, delicious food ,home made Hollandaise sauce with butter, perfect eggs The boys had bacon and salmon Bennie, mine served with rocket and salmon my favourite ..the...Danish pastries OMG fresh from oven crispy with just the right amount of blue berry conserve coffee excellent !!!! even have pink Himalayan salt and Rajpura sugar on table ,décor makes one feel right at home one could not ask more perfection Thank you 'Blue eyes 'and lovely staff XX🤩 Highly recommendedMore

Rafter and Rose is full of leafy character, from the heritage exterior, through the pretty courtyard, to the cosy and chic interior. Would have loved to have rated excellent, but the eggs in my bacon benny were a little underdone. Great pressed juice and coffee...made up for that, as did the friendly and efficient service.More

This is acquaint and query little place. Coffee is excellent, often busy early in the morning, be aware no psrking other than on Brisbane Street.

We are up from Albury visiting our son who is working at the Amberley base . He recommended we try this little cafe in central Ipswich. My wife had a cold pressed juice and I had a cafe latte both delightful .I had a rafter...burger which was very tasty the meat pattie was full of different herbs and spices( subtle) a potato rosti and delightful salad and bacon infused relish very very scrumptious .Debra had a chicken schnitzel burger .
