last weekend, we decided to go somewhere different, we ended up having lunch with some friends at Saltrams cellar door restaurant, wifey had the scallop seafood pizza, which she claims to be one of the best pizzas she has had, I went for crumbed lamb cutlets and they were superb, presented with a pumpkin, mint and pine nut salad. That's... More

My wife and a good friend and myself had lunch at this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The food and service was excellent. However there is one major issue with this restaurant. Noise! We had a table booked for the 3 of us in the restaurant. However after a few minutes we had to leave as the noise level was... More

We were with a tour and our time here was limited. Correen was our sommelier. She did a great job. We tasted 4 varietals which we enjoyed and made some purchases. They have a wonderful cellar filled with barrels right off the hallway to the toilets which was great for photographs.

Saltram is a lovely old winery in a beautiful setting. We took the cellar tour which took us through the various barrel rooms and underground vats which was so interesting. This also included a tasting of Saltrams premium wines which was well worth it. Cellar door staff very friendly, helpful and professional.

I enjoyed a wedding reception here. Wonderful experience. Excellence location. Food was great. Portion size a little small but extremely satisfying meals.

My friend and I had deadlines in our camper van and couldn't do a wine tour so we chose to just visit one that a friend recommended. It is a beautiful building and the staff welcomed us well. We ate some lunch which was very expensive but so tasty with food from the region. We tasted the wine and really... More

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! What a gem! We went for Good Friday lunch as we are down from Brisbane for a wedding. We booked well in advance as not a lot was open. We started with a wine tasting of lovely wines with good knowledge & friendliness. The 9 of us ate a variety of... More

On a recent tour of the Barossa Valley, our guide arranged for the “Lavish Lunch” at Saltram. We started with the tasting at the bar in the Cellar Door and proceeded to eat the wonderful spread of food at our table. This was an ideal combination of a starter of local charcuterie followed by a main course of grilled lamb... More

A cellar door with a very popular restaurant along side, you'll find plenty of tourists and even weddings on while you're there. If going on the weekends bear in mind this place is popular and may have limited staff on which can make tastings a little rushed if it's busy. Otherwise it's a lovely place to visit and try a... Enjoyed a nice lunch but a bit on the pricey side for food. Good quality wines on offer, certainly the cellar door aspect exceeds the restaurant
