Yesterday was hot! Here in the Limestone coast we are blessed with a few spectacular wetlands , creeks and prehistoric sedgelands. After an exciting field trip with "Bush Adventures" wading through local wilderness swamps and Native forests, we were starving. Our crew decided we need to recharge our battered bodies.... so we headed straight for the nearby Tantanoola Tiger Hotel.... More

The trip advisor has the incorrect phone number for this pub. The Millicent Tourist information Centre is able to assist with the number. Friendly and welcoming hostess right from first contact..A South Australian historical country pub with atmosphere on a scenic drive between Mount Gambier and Millicent situated in the Limestone Coast. Large and varied choice on the menu and... More

I am not sure why the address of this hotel has been listed in Trip Advisor as being in Millicent because it isn't. Tantanoola is a lovely little town approximately 10 kilometres from Millicent and the pub is the home of the famous Tantanoola Tiger (google it) Amazing food, fabulous service and an all round great country pub atmosphere where... This is well worth a visit, had a great meal, good salad bar cold beer. The pub is not in Millicent but about 10k out the road. Will definately be back. I had beef sausages, wife had a stuffed chicken breast all cooked to perfection

Wonderful pub food in this great old pub. The tiger was of interest to the kids too. The adult meals took a bit too long to arrive but the atmosphere made up for it.

Like another reviewer, I hadn't been to this hotel in several years. It's a good old fashioned country pub of the type I remember as a kid, visiting with my parents. Locals sitting on the verandah drinking beer is always a good look in a country pub. It was a very hot evening (high 30's) and the air-conditioning inside was... More

I hadn't been to the Tiger Hotel in ages, so it was with fresh eyes that I set foot there recently. Locals sat on the verandah drinking beers in the sunshine in the time honoured fashion of Australian pubs. We went indoors via the front bar and other locals nodded "G'day" in the friendly country tradition. We made our way... More
