Stopped for lunch on our way to Adelaide, and loved every minute here. Food was great, coffee was great, games for the kids, cute local craft items and a beautiful old building. Felt like stepping back in time... thanks for everything ladies xxx

Thank you, Reece, for the great review and the 5/5 rating! We are passionate about the place so it's great to read that others feel the same 'love' when they visit. It's always so wonderful to see visitors playing a card game or Scrabble, perhaps, whilst enjoying their Bean Revolution (Salt of the Earth Blend, especially roasted for us)organic coffee... More

We were taking a friend to the lake bumbunga, yet got the munchies on the way, so we found this very nice place for a stopover and had some food. I had my old time favor - Shepherd's pie, and it was absolutely lovely~ just loved everything in here~ Oh, also, the icy chai latte was very refreshing for the... More

What a gem, in a lovely old church with lots of character and feeling of welcome on arrival.I had the garfish which was excellent, hubby had the Shepards pie which he enjoyed. Thank you so very much, Debbie, for giving us such a great rating and for your lovely comments. Our seafood is definitely locally caught near Port Wakefield by our local fishers who live in the town, a truly rare thing these days! Kim's shepherd's pie is certainly popular as well...so glad you can 'feel the love' in our café and... More

We called in to this amazing cafe after spending ten dollars on two terrible coffees on the main street of Port Wakefield. Salt of the Earth was such a wonderful surprise! Friendly, inviting, an incredible menu and fantastic coffee!!! By far this is the best place to stop in Port Wakefield and definitely worth turning off the Main Street to... More

Thank you so very much, Gawaine, for your lovely comments...we don't see ourselves as competition for the highway stops, or the two pubs in the town...but rather we like to think of our place as 'an experience' and a 'tourist attraction' because we feel it is rather like a 'complete package'...the fact that we offer great food and coffee is... I called this cafe just in case the info on it being closed was wrong. There was no reply but I left a message. I was really amazed when the owner called me back. That's outstanding service and totally unexpected. Only wish our timing was better as the reviews make it sound amazing. Thank you😃

Lovely cafe in Port Wakefield. A very unexpected find. Only had tea and cake - but it was delicious. A must if you're in the area.

After waking up at Parham free camping spot and being blown away because of the strong wind, we needed a good coffee in the morning. I will recommend everyone to do a stop here during any journey.
