Excellent welcome from Sandrine Barthélemy!! Adorable person, smiling and available to everyone! We came in a group of 40 people on Saturday noon, 1 hour late...despite this we were welcomed with a big smile! Buffet of starters and desserts and excellent homemade dishes! The whole group was delighted with this stop at this nice restaurant!

I went on a weekend and as other reviews have mentioned the restaurant is full of local people, very good salad options, great main course, and dessert if you have enough room, very reasonable prices too

You can always tell when a restaurant is good, all types of trades people and professional people eating here along with tourists. The lady owner doesn't stop helping her clients, friendly all the time always a word for her clients. Great food, great choice for a lunchtime stopover and inexpensive. I will definitely go again when I'm in the area. Superb restaurant, le propriétaire simplement elle travaille fort, le choix on ne peut pas dire que délicieux; Il mérite un visite.

A traditional local brasserie. Home made food is served for a very good price in this food joint by a friendly couple . Cosy atmosphere . Ample park space .

We are staying in Molay Littry and this has become our 'local'. Nice bar & great value, simple lunches. All home made food - the menu is fixed price 13 euro for 3 courses, a choice of two mains which change every day. Very friendly. Full of locals. Highly recommended. Note that the location on the map is incorrect, it's actually in the centre of the village.

We visited on a Tuesday lunch time, following a Bank Holiday for Whitsun. On our arrival we had to wait about 15 minutes for a free table. However, the owners, Sandrine and Bertrand offered a free beer and glass of wine while we waited at the bar. Bertrand did explain that they were hosting a seniors cycling club lunch in addition to their normal 70-80 lunchtime covers. So if possible I would book, as both Sandrine and Bertrand speak English. However, if just passing visit after 13.15 to avoid waiting for a table. The meal consists of buffet starters, a choice of about 16 different products ranging between pate and raw carrot. The mains consist fried beef or boiled ham. We both chose the ham, which was presented in its cooking liquor. I chose the best field chips I had eaten in a number of years. My wife chose the boiled potatoes. We did not take the cheese course, again you take a much as you require. However, I much enjoyed the "home made" Apple flan and my wife much enjoyed the home made chocolate moose. Fresh strawberries were also on offer, along with about a dozen sweet choices. The meal consists free wine or cider and coffee. All this for €27! Ok the main meal whilst tasty and good did not compare with the we ate last night. But that did cost us €118, without a cheese course! In all other respects, the starters, the pudding wine and coffee were better than we ate last night! The bar is a traditional brasserie that once existed throughout France. We discovered today that it still exists Le Molay-Littry. Note. The brasserie is about 100 meters from the town centre and just after the Marie. Not as indicated on Tripadvisor map

Nipped into the Bar de la Foret for lunch and staying fairly nearby. At 1pm it was packed and fortunately returning half an hour later was far less busy ( as we had to negotiate room for a pram etc). We had the set menu "menu complet" @ 13.50 per person. This comprised of a buffet salad including home made quiche, braised chicken and chips for the main and some cheese and tart tatin for dessert. Food all very nice and felt fairly full afterwards! It's fairly simple inside but obviously popular with the locals. The woman serving us was very nice and friendly (as was everyone we encountered) and spoke excellent English which made up for our poor French. I'm surprised that, thus far, I seem to be the only English reviewer but presumably not the first to visit, but if that was the case certainly hope that this review might reassure you to give it a try.

While passing through the region, lunch was taken in this bar restaurant in the center of Le Molay-Littry. Friendly welcome, despite the crowds and very, very good meal. Cider too!
