This is a quaint place (large two story house) with wrap around porch. We like to eat here after Church on Sundays, but they can accommodate all kinds of audiences - rehearsal dinner, graduation parties, bridal showers, etc. The staff is very accommodating and the food is always consistent with a variety of items to choose from like Fried Chicken... Overall it's nothing to be overly excited about. The better part of the meal was of course the Fried Chicken and Country style steak. We did the Family Style as it keeps refreshing the bowls of food. I've had better example Hillbilly Hideaway and Daniel Boone Inn which is much better and has a better tasting meal. We visited because... More

Open for lunch with a AYCE cafeteria like feel. The chicken is better than KFC or any other Chicken place. They have all your country veggies. One of MY favorite was the peeled Irish potatoes with country ham...Oh MY! My husband loved the apple/sweet potato dish. Taste like it was cooked in an orange sauce/juice. The sweet tea is just... My wife and I went out the other night to Julia's. We've been there several times before, but this time I remembered to leave feedback. This is always a top of the line choice. If you've never been there, give it a shot. If you haven't been in a while,go back. You'll love it.

My wife and I visited this place for the first time. I had the country style steak with green beans and an apple dumpling. The food is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. If your looking for a good country cooking meal, then it's worth trying. I hear they are famous for their fried chicken. It was there... More

Always delicious food and the service is always great. The chicken is the best in the state, it has flavor all the way through and not just the crust.

I go out of my way while traveling to stop here. The fried chicken is the best I've had in NC and it has an awesome family atmosphere. Great people and service as well

Not pleased with the options or quality of the food. My meatloaf had a good flavor, but very greasy. The green beans tasted like they were directly out of a can with little or no seasoning. The mac and cheese was very bland. I had wanted mashed potatoes and asked if they were homemade or instant. Instant.

Today(2-27-17) ,my wife and I drove over 2 hours to eat here. The biscuits were fabulous, fried chicken was outstanding , but that was it -vegetables were cold and had no taste; peach cobbler was disgusting;i should have known it was a bad day when I asked for vinegar and I was brought white distilled vinegar(only good thing for white...
