According to the menu, Clyde's Dinner is where the home folks eat so we had to try this place out. Upon arriving in the parking lot the place was decorated to a tee for the fall season. The parking lot was full which is always a good sign of great food to come. Once entering it felt like an old... More

Clyde's Reataurant is a local gem...great service, very good food with large portions, along with variety and very reasonable prices.... The Sunday menu offers an entree....such as turkey and dressing, (chopped) steak and gravy, fried chicken....my fav, etc, etc....about 7-8 choices....Ali served with a huge salad (excellent dressings), and two sides such as mac & cheese, green beans, cole slaw,... Daily specials. I had the chicken pot pie w/ three sides. Sat up at the counter and enjoyed the down home atmosphere.

When we are vacationing we always look for these kind of restaurants and we were not disappointed on this trip. The food was good and more than we could eat. Service was very good also. Friendly staff. Hopefully we will be back soon.

I have been coming here for 25+ years and have never had a bad meal. It can get a little crowded but I think that is only because the food is so good. They give you quite a bit to eat. Hamburgers are wonderful!! Bring your appetite!

Clyde's is a "meat & 3" type dining experience with daily specials. If dining alone, sit on a stool at the Counter for fast service. milkshake blender on the back counter triggers memories of life in the 50's. Better than fast food, cheaper than fine dining.

Clyde's touts itself as where the locals eat, and that is very true, and for good reason. It is vastly different than the multitude of fast food establishments, which seem to dominate the streets. The local people provide good service and food for all types of families, local and from elsewhere. A co-worker who lives 50 miles away, stopped in... More

On my journey to Mt Pisgah I was driving through Waynesville around lunch and saw the signs for Clyde's. Knowing my intent for some hardy mountain hiking, I knew I needed a good fueling up - Clyde's was perfect! Old school dining done right. So many of these types of places are nearly extinct, so it's wonderful to find one... More
