We visted with friends on a Wednesday night. The restaurant is small but not tight. The appetizers sand entrees were delicious. We loved the duck. Nice wine selection. The only critique I would give is the restaurant had weekly specials and while we were there it was Wind down Wednesday. 1/2 price bottle of wines under $60 ( I think).... More

My wife and I have walked in several times without a reservation and have been seated each time. The specials are unique and the atmosphere is good. The service has also been good each time we have visited. Lots of beautiful artwork on the wall that you can purchase

My wife and I are local. Because of our lifestyle and schedules, we eat out pretty often. Waynesville has several great restaurants that compete well with the foodie paradise Asheville market (which we frequent too)...after our dinner at BB last night, we are adding it to our "watch list" for that 'exclusive' grouping. A couple more visits before we are... More

Coming from Charleston, SC where we have a huge selection of incredible restaurants, I must admit that my expectations are high for both food and service. I felt this restaurant was average at best. The flavor of the food was good but the quality of the meat was poor... especially for the price. I will admit that sometimes you can... More

As I told your friend in the previous review, I apologize for the misunderstanding. The three of you all said the food was delicious and the service was spot on. Your 4th guest joined later and did not eat. Thank you for the feedback. Ashley More

Bourbon Barrel Beef and Ale could be a nice little, locals type restaurant. Food was decent for the money. Bartender and wait staff were helpful and friendly. A big thanks to Nick and Jacob as they were the only saving grace for any stars at all for this restaurant. However, Ashley, in my opinion, has absolutely NO business being in the... More

Went there Tuesday night for dinner with friends. Had a superb ribeye steak myself and my wife had the filet. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Lived here almost three years and this was out first visit. Will be going back again soon. Staff was pleasant and accommodating to all of us. Easy to get to and close... More

At the suggestion of our friends at Hazelwood Soup Company, we crossed the street to Bourbon Barrel Beer & Ale for a quick lunch before hitting the road. So glad we did! The delicious soup, inventive sandwhiches and ohhh so tasty fresh chips were great! Quaint decor and lovely waitstaff. Highly recommend .

My family recently planned a surprise birthday party for me at this restaurant. It had been quite a while since we had eaten here and everyone had a great time. There were some great entrees to choose from and their bourbon selection is fantastic. I enjoyed their homemade meatloaf and it was delicious. Several folks had the ribeye steak and... More

My boyfriend and I have been to Waynsville, NC multiple times. We have tried the sweet onion and frog leap. A local told us to try the bourbon barrel. I am SO glad we did! Relaxed pub like atmosphere but still classy. Amazing ribeyes- comparable to Ruth Chris and Kayne Prime. Chocolate pot de creme is an excellent dessert. Very... More
