I will tell you that the food is beyond amazing. The food is 5 stars. But, I have to give it a 3 because I believe their customer service could be a whole lot more. They don't take reservations, so when you have a party of 8-10 for dinner, it is difficult for everyone to be there at the exact... More

Stopped for lunch. We had been to their old location and remembered the seafood was great. This visit we had a mixture of sandwiches, salads and everything was great.

As I travel around the world, I often pick restaurants based on how many cars are in the parking lot or whether there are people waiting to get in...well, Maggie's is such the place. The lot was full, we had to wait for 20 minutes to be seated...but oh...the food was delicious!

I had not been to Maggie's in years and was just as happy as my previous visits. The new building is filled with awesome things to look at while you wait for your food. However, that is not long. The service was super fast and the staff are TERRIFIC! Large variety of seafood, GREAT soup, even better appetizers, wonderful. Will... More

Loved this place! Raw gulf oysters were plump and flavorful. They were also good steamed, as were the Stump Sound clams. My fresh sheepshead, grilled, with lump crabmeat on top, was excellent. My wife's fried clams and oysters were light and not greasy. My daughter raved about her steak, done medium rare. Sides and salads were equally good. The restaurant was... More

We have eaten at many seafood restaurants in western North Carolina but Maggie's Galley Oyster Bar in Waynesville NC is by the far the Very Best. They really know how to cook seafood right and the seafood chowder and oyster stew are both outstanding. Catfish is lightly breaded, moist and delicious. Also, best collard greens in the area. Again, there... More

Best meal I have had in Waynesville or Maggie Valley hands down! Our server Carolyn was knowledgeable attentive and friendly. Don't be afraid to gorge on seafood here. Fresh oysters, top notch fish selections and very ample portions. Their chef knows what he/she is doing and better never leave. Frankly, I've not been very impressed by many restaurants in this... We used to have a rule of never eating seafood from any restaurant that wasn't on the ocean, river or lake. This place changed that rule. Great Seafood. Cannot say enought about their Seafood Chowder........I could make an entire meal out of a large bowl of it. Out of this world good!! Special prices when you order the lunch size... More

we ate there on a sunday nite. busy but now crowded. food and service were excellent. reasonable noise level. good menu variety. the rainbow trout and shrimp cocktail were superb. AND the twice baked potatoes are hand made in the kitchen with REAL, not out of a box, mashed potatoes that were well seasoned. just a wonderful meal.
