they have delicious food with large portions. Good service. This is an informal place but clean. Be warned, this is not a gourmet restaurant. They serve tasty wholesome comfort food. It is a good value. I would definitely go back.

The food is so good, we visit here every time we find time while in town. I accidentally agreed to eating bbq one day, even though it’s my least favorite, and now it’s the only place I’ll eat bbq! Great service and great flavor!

Great Eastern Style BBQ. Best in Wilmington. Good vegetables and service. We usually get takeout for 12 when we have family beach week. Maryland family craves returning.

Stopped in with my wife and grand daughters for lunch. It seems we all ordered the pulled pork dinner with a variety of side dishes, everything from coleslaw, beans, collared greens, baked macaroni, plus a few more. The portions come in small, med and large,...More

All the food was great. Ribs fell off the bone. Hush puppies couldn't be served to our table fast enough. Cheap. Tables are made out of garnished plywood. Not fancy, but food and service was great.

A place you can go and never wonder if the food will be good, you just know what to expect, good solid food. Whatever you order it is good and hot, and consistent. Service is excellent.

While visiting Wilmington my husband and I asked a couple of people where to go for good barbecue. All recommended this place. The food was delicious! The ribs were the most tender my husband and I have ever had. The pulled pork sandwich was also...More

For the must try food of Eastern North Carolina, this is the place! Friendly staff, and lots of yummy sides to choose from. (My favorite is the fried okra!)

The original owner was Dewey Jackson and his wife Pat. Dewey worked in law enforcement in Wilmington, I think ABC Board, and his wife was the daughter of Skinner of Skinner and Daniels Barbeque fame.
