I love this restaurant! The open feel and good acoustics make it fun to sit and visit. Very comfortable! There is also a bar area if you prefer that type of environment. We had oysters and shrimp for appetizers and both were very good. I had a beef tenderloin that was cooked to perfection! They were also willing to mix... More

What you would expect and desire in a high end restaurant. Food was excellent. Service also. Very nice atmosphere. Can't afford to eat there often but would if I could.

Many great sounding apps on the menu, but, my husband and I recently sat at the bar and shared the smoked salmon tartare, Vietmenese meatballs with noodles and a wedge salad. We even took some of each home! The best wedge salad we have ever had. Maytag blue cheese with chunks big enough to really taste. The salmon was not... More

Hard to believe all the great reviews, as our experience was not great. The service was excellent, but my "beet" salad arrived as a pile of spinach with 4 little beet pieces hidden away underneath. My husband's crab cake looked beautiful, but turned out to be mostly filler. There are other, much better restaurants in the immediate area - like... More

I'm sorry to hear about this! That does not sound like our normal beet salad presentation at all - there should have been a layer of beets (both sliced yellow roasted and red pickled chunks) topped with assortment of baby lettuces (savoy, rocket, spinach among others) dressed with the vanilla bean-clover honey-citrus vinaigrette and garnished with candied walnuts, goat cheese... I don't often eat steak, so I asked our waitress what she would recommend. I was surprised to see that she didn't recommend the most expensive steak on the menu. she said it coffee rubbed steak was her favorite, she was very gracious. I tried it and I can honestly say that it was the most delicious steak II have... More

We just sat at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers since we had a late lunch. We got the mac and cheese, very good buy truly it is a bit pricey. The Redneck egg rolls were to die for!! Loved them. Service and atmosphere were amazing.

Four of us tried dinner based on the recommendation of locals, but we were disappointed. The steak was raw, the scallops overcooked on a huge bed of quinoa (way too many calories!), the menu is so long and the script so tiny and confusing, even the waitress was unsure about salad dressings and all the salads arrived with the wrong... I'm sorry you were so disappointed with your dining experience. I can only wish that you had spoken up during your visit or - as that can be 'easier said than done' sometimes - in a follow up private email or phone call so we could've have made whatever fixes or amends that were appropriate. Having missed that "in person"... More

Four of us started at the bar with a glass of wine while we waited for our table. The wine was good, the bar tenders were not very friendly. Since we arrived after the dinner rush, it didn't take us long to be seated. The service at the table was much friendlier than at the bar. We all enjoyed the... More

I'm sorry to hear this - it doesn't sound like a normal experience with us. I'm glad you enjoyed the calamari and the wine but I would love to learn more about the other details you mentioned. Please email me: anne@portlandgrille.com - I would appreciate your direct feedback - thank you! More

I went here with a few friends in the biz because we heard it was the best steak house in town. I have to say they we're pretty spot on. I got the cowboy steak, broccoli, and a twice baked potato loaded. The food was awesome and and the service was just as good. For the three of us it... More

Port Land Grille is one of the best restaurants in the area. Fantastic seafood, beef, and other menu items. They always have very good specials. Great fresh fish with a variety of preparations. Sure to please every time.
