My friend and I had the sausage plate. Wonderful, plentiful! We had strudel with whipped cream and a whole one to go! Great experience!

My wife was own her way to Florida to be with her aunt who was in failing health. My mom and I dropped her off at the airport in Wilmington and she took me to the German Café. I can remember when I was little, our family had a condo at Carolina Beach and we made trips into town quite... More

The food was delicious! The Reuben sandwich was perfect. It did not have too much "stuff" on it. You must have the strudel -it is homemade and not to be missed.

Wife and I visited April 22, and were first ones in the door for food. Seated downstairs and waitress was very professional. I had Pork Schnitzel, wife had the Wurst sampler. My schnitzel was fair, compared to what I have eaten for years in Germany, a bit heavy on the topping and flavor was just not what I am used to.... More

We came for lunch....first time in the Cotton Exchange area of Wilmington...lovely, historic, beautiful brick buildings. My husband had the schnitzel, perfectly done, German potatoe salad was very good, and of course served warm. We split a napoleon, omg, best I ever had. The cream was flavored with almond, and it was heavenly. Cozy place, exposed beams and pipes, steins,... More

Cafe is in old building so inside there are stairs to eating area. However there are four tables near the desserts which is where we ate. Location of table was fine. Dumpling was delicious. German music was low and waitress was excellent. Lots of German beers to choose from. I wish this restaraunt was nearer to us. I would eat... More

The food at this restaurant was very authentic. The kielbasa entree was truly good and the server staff was excellent.

While attending a conference in Wilmington, I ate here twice. The second time because my first experience was so good. Cozy atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. Great food (I especially enjoyed the Reuben sandwich I had for lunch). Surprisingly inexpensive. Highly recommended! I will go back the next time I am in Wilmington.

Neat little attractive cafe which offers good food and pleasant service. Nicely placed for the new development in down town Wilmington.
