Fish & Chips are really, really good - crunchy batter, home cut fries and the best milkshakes and the best view as you enjoy!

Sharon and I split an order of fish and chips - two pieces of cod ($20.00). I had a Shipwreck IPA. Perfect sized lunch. Batter on the fish was nice and crispy . Good service. A very basic place overlooking the harbour.

We had fish and chips there last week. It was delicious!! The owners were very friendly and as we were waiting we had a look around the store and even bought a few things. Very reasonably priced and nice people!

I dropped by for a quick lunch: Grilled Cheese and Onion rings...OK a fatty splurge but it was worth it: very fresh bread, real cheese and well grilled. Nice out door patio covered or not overlooking the little Deep Bay harbor. Just around the corner from the VIU research station. Friendly owners and a reasonable price. Nice selection of fish... While staying with friends we decided that Friday night would be a good night for traditional fish and chips. A short driver from where we were staying was the spectacular location of Deep Bay. There is a small fish and chip restaurant on the front overlooking the small marina and the Beaufort Mountains (I think thats correct). The menu is... More

Nice cozy dining with amazing harbor view. We had great fish and chips. Tried both the halibut and the snapper. Tasty thin batter. The coleslaw was to die for. The local beer selection was also great.

A quaint little shop located on the shores of Deep Bay - the Ship & Shore Cafe and Campground offers up hand battered cod and halibut with 'real' fries! Homemade soups and bacon cheese burgers are also staples offered by owners and operators Patty and Steve Biro. During the summer you can be entertained by local fishers and pleasure boaters... More

Found this place on Tripadvisor. Was hoping for an oyster burger. Wasn't on the menu, so I opted for the halibut burger. Outstanding, as well as the fries. I would eat here again. As usual, on the island, staff and the locals were very friendly.
