Our preferred place to have breakfast when the place was open. Healthy options as well as standard fare.

Having camped overnight at Spirit Park we looked for a breakfast spot - there is not much choice in Burns Lake. Our boys enjoyed waffles which were nice but nothing special. The coffee was good as was the muffin. A little pricy overall. Free wifi...More
We were travelling along and tenting it so we decided to eat here for breakfast. Well all we can say is that the staff work hard to provide you with the best ever food . Their egg scramble was the best ever we had anywhere....More
Quite possibly the best coffee house on highway 16 between Jasper and Prince Rupert. Super friendly staff, wonderful service, and great food. Best egg scramble i’ve ever had. My wife always always has special dietary requests (they aren’t requirements - she’s just picky) and staff...More
We were treated very nicely by several of the staff. The food was great - try one of the several originally-designed paninis and top it off with a salt-carmel brownie....yummy. Our waiter was naturally personable, and not 'over the top' as are many waiters nowadays....More
I always enjoy going to Alternative Grounds for coffee or lunch. The ambience is very relaxing & the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this great coffee shop!

Good variety - light menu and tables outside (and inside providing the weather cooperates) Convenient - fight on the highway. Limited parking across the road
Always good food and good service. Trendy place right in the middle of town. Sunny summer days allow for seating outside.
Great coffee, great food and fresh cinnamon buns make this a required stop between Smithers and Prince George. We were not able to try all the delicious looking items on the menu but what we did was great. And the fresh cinnamon buns...mmmmmmm!
