We had been twice before to Clyde's for lunch; this was our first dinner experience and it was really good. The prices for both drinks and food are remarkably good - they don't seem to have leaped up like most other places, and that's a...very nice thing. The server was really pleasant and efficient, the food was tasty and plentiful. There's a "for sale" on the wall outside, and I hope the new owners keep the same things going.More

I have tried this place a couple of times before and it was quite good. Today was a different story. The waitress who took our order was pleasant, but the one who delivered our food was terrible. After setting our plates down she THEN asked...if we wanted cutlery. I was miffed at the question because we did not order finger food. I said yes we did and also we wanted ketchup, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper. She retrieved the latter requested items and snarkily asked if there was anything else we needed. I raised my eyebrows and said, “the cutlery?”. She stomped away, got the cutlery and then SLAMMED them on the table. It was unbelievable. Finally able to start eating our food and found the burger was only lukewarm. The cheese would not even melt a little bit. Fries were not very warm either...but we were very hungry and ate it anyway. Never once did they come and ask how the food was. The first pleasant waitress finally returned when we were done and asked if we wanted the bill, to which we said yes. When the bill arrived there was an item that said, “special sauce...$.75”. I inquired what the charge for special sauce was and she replied, “ Oh I don’t know why “they” do that. “They” shouldn’t charge you for that. It was for the mustard.” I was appalled. First of all, “she” is the “they”, so to try and blame some mysterious person was ludicrous - she just did not want to take accountability. She also had the option of not charging me for the mustard, but she did not want to go that route. $.75 for one little knife-swipe of mustard. I’m still shaking my head. In summary: cold food, rude waitress, bad service AND they charge for mustard. Surprised they don’t charge for ketchup, vinegar, salt and pepper. I will never return to this pub; they have lost my business permanently.More

This is now called Clyde's Pub We were disappointed in our meals. I had the borscht which was okay but nothing special. I also had the crispy perogies which were not good at all. They were like something from a supermarket frozen food section and...were the cheapest you could buy. My wife had the dry ribs which were so heavily coated in breading that she could not taste the meat. The beer was good and the service pleasant and effecient but the food gets just 1 starMore

Went there was night for a few drinks the bartender was super rude. She said we didn’t tip enough which she had no right to say you’re lucky if you get a tip at all as you get tip for your friendly service and as...we left she was yelling at my friend and I was we walked out the door. Awful bartender and definitely will not be going back after that experience I love eating local but there is reasons why I do not do that as much as I would like.More

On a road trip, I wanted a light lunch so I stopped here. I ordered borscht with toast off the menu. Server came back - no borscht. So what kind of soup did they have? They said vegetable beef so I said ok but I...would like the bread (from the non-existent borscht) with the soup. What I was served was a bowl that tasted EXACTLY like a tin of Campbells vegetable beef soup. I asked the server if it was canned soup and she came back from the kitchen with the “only fresh vegetables and made today” line. I managed to eat the toast but I could only stomach half the soup. I was charged for soup and an order of toast. When I complained, to the managers (bartender?chef?) credit, my bill was compted for half. What an extreme disappointment! Server was not at fault and dealt with it well.More

We were a party of four, went there for dinner last night, at 5:30, Sunday, June 20 2021, we waited over an hour for our meal, that was barely warm when we got it, I ordered Fajitas, but got a Burrito, hubby ordered a burger...and the meat was very hard, not soft and juicy, The other lady in our group also complained about her meal, only one person did not complain. Basically, everything was overcooked. Too bad this happened, we went there another time and that meal was wonderful, enjoyed by all. It only takes one bad meal to put you off.More

Came here for my birthday for drinks and an appy. Nachos were crushed and the chips that were full, were burnt. Service was sub par. Used to like this place. Won’t be coming back.

We were looking for some takeout food for dinner. The description on the menu online not fantastic. Unfortunately our chicken wings were cold and absolutely soggy with me received them. The bowls of borsch were not even a full cup and a complete waste of...money. My chicken on my salad tasted like it had been boiled. No flavour and I actually was gagging while trying to eat it. With a small portion sizes and lack of quality, we feel we wasted our money and are extremely disappointed. During these challenging times we would like to support our local businesses and it’s heartbreaking to have to write a review like this.More

Great service in this pub. Food was alright, my buddy had the philly cheese melt, which he enjoyed. I had the veal which I thought was a rather small portion and pretty tough for chewing on. Cold beer cures all and cold beer they had....I’d come back.More

We had a GREAT meal this evening at Clyde’s pub! We couldn’t believe how varied the menu was and yet how expertly they made each dish. I ordered the salad with chicken and golden beets (which was outstanding), hubby ordered the philly cheese steak (he...said it was great) and our son had the chimi-Changa (which he loved). We were so pleased with the quality and taste of the food as well as the great service from our server. We will definitely be back!More

The servers are outstanding! For about an hour we observed three ladies serving a dozen+ tables and take-out orders, plus the bar. Plus answering the phone. Plus maintaining COVID-19 procedures (sign in, hand sanitizing, exit through another door). Under the circumstances, I would understand it...if our food were a bit late, but they delivered our fresh'n'juicy burgers within 20 minutes or so. They kept dashing through the premises, busy every second, and -- while it's most likely quite stressful to have so many balls in the air at the same time -- always with a smile. Our server asked us whether the food was good and then the second time whether we needed anything else. I just don't get it how they could successfully manage so many tasks at once! I've seen many restaurants in pre-COVID-19 era where servers were many, customers were fewer and service was worse. The BC Day long weekend is probably among those very few days in 2020 when they would actually be able to turn some profit. Huge thumbs up to you, ladies!More

Fantastic restaurant...every time we come to Grand Forks it is a must visit. You will not be disappointed! Hayley made our first phase 2 Covid experience great. What a wonderful thing to have a knowledgeable, friendly, patience server. Well done! Friendly staff met us at...the door with hand sanitizing procedures, every Covid procedure followed. Felt safe and friendly. Food was top notch as always. My red seal chef hubby was more than impressed. Another thumbs up to the entire experience.More
