My boyfriend and I stopped here for a late lunch on a day trip up island. The food was decent, but average pub food. Draught beer selection was poor considering the number of breweries we have on the island, a few more local beers would have been nice. Food came very quickly and service was decent. I would probably come... More

Found that this family business was very friendly & great service! We didn't have an opportunity to eat, because we ate next door at The Sportsman Restaurant prior to going to the pub. Took a look at the menu, and looked awesome! The pub is very comfortable & lots of tv's to watch your favourite game, nicely decorated! The highlight... More

We have eaten here several times and always find the food consistently good. The service is excellent and there is a view of the marina.

The specialty coffee & dessert special was a nice treat. The only thing missing was the cherry on top🙁

Gus’ is a fine place to enjoy a home cooked meal. While you are sitting and enjoying a peaceful drink, you can view the harbour; relax and soak up the peaceful ambiance. The decor of Gus’ of course, is the typical atmosphere of a sports bar with plenty of TV’s, but neat and tidy. I had the Mediterranean Wrap with... More

We got stuck in Port McNeill because we could not get a ferry to Alert Bay so we went to Gus's. It had okay pub food, service was good and we had a very good view of the waterfront .

The restaurant we were looking forward to eating at was closed on a Tuesday so we ended up at Gus's Pub. Boy, was that a mistake. We ordered fajitas and a burger and it took 1 1/2 hours to get!!! At the 45 minute mark we asked what was going on, expecting an answer of 'it will be out soon.'... More

Its location close to the ferry dock and being open when most other options were closed were major pluses. Good fish and prawn wraps, a mug of draft red ale and pleasant waitress were godsends on a chill wet afternoon.

Wow, haven't had this kind of bad service since Bollocks in Yellowknife. We had to do everything ourselves, from going up to the bar to ask for waters, to going up to the front to ask if we could order after waiting about an hour for our waitress to come back, to going back up to ask for a second...
