It's small, it smells like grease when you walk in, the decor is rustic and seating is limited. The service is very friendly and the fries are really good. Not personally a fan of poutine (I like my fries just with a little salt and vinegar) even though I'm originally from Montreal, but I do love good fries and these are very good. I looked at the menu and found some offerings I may try next time I'm there. Regardless, I will be back when next at Sun Peaks. Would I send my friends there? Yes, absolutely.

Amazing options especially if gluten free like me. We had a hot dog one lunchtime which was delicious, my GF bread was so soft. Had poutine for another lunch which was so filling that we went back for our last evening meal. The small size was enough for me despite a full day snowboarding, my husband went for the regular size in the evening. The gravy was delicious and there are some really tasty options to have extra meat and sauces. I had buffalo chicken on my last poutine and almost wish I'd had the original because the spice took away from the amazingly gravy. But the chicken was great. Husband reported the pulled pork being delicious as well as the special meat on the Montreal. Definitely visit if you are after good food at a very reasonable price in an honest and simple setting. Picture of the hot dog, but forgot to snap the poutine.

The food there is definitely not worth the hassle of ordering it, both quality and taste has nothing to do with real poutine, the prices are sky high and compatible with steak prices, no value at all, dont know how they can justify their quality and prices.

Great economical lunch option after a morning on the slopes. I had the Canadian poutine (small) which had the addition of bacon and my husband had a regular hot dog, both were very tasty and filling, this won’t be our last visit to Joe’s Poutine during our stay.

Fantastic place. My son is gluten free and they catered for him perfectly including gf chips in separate fryer. The lady who works in there is incredibly friendly and helpful.

We tried the Poutine here and ate about 20% of it before throwing the rest out and leaving. This is possibly the worst food I have ever eaten from any food outlet anywhere in the world. The gravy has absolutely zero flavour, the fries super soggy and super light on the curds. It's no surprise there was no one in there eating or ordering when we were there. Just terrible. Avoid. Walk up the village mainstreet about 50 m and order some sushi instead - same price and good quality.

We had the buffalo chicken and the pulled pork poutine. Both were great and we couldn’t eat enough of them.

We regularly visit this establishment when in Sun Peaks. The poutine isalways authentic Quebecoise. We are particularly fond of the seasonal Turkey dinner poutine. Well worth the drive up from Kamloops. Throughout the year, many varied poutines are available. A must-try when in Sun Peaks.

The poutine was good but could have been better with more flavourful gravy. Service is self serve at the counter.

When we arrived for poutine, one last was running the place like a well oiled machine. She was polite, helpful and the food was delicious. We had the “Montrealer” poutine which had authentic Schwartz’s smoked meat. Very good! They also have some of the best ice cream flavours around - kids highly recommend!!

This is a little cafe with a reasonable selection of ice cream. W had the Salted Caramel which was nice and my wife enjoyed the Raspberry Cheesecake. Service was friendly and the prices reasonable.

Yummy poutine with options for everyone on the menu! They had standard poutine offerings, vegetarian offerings with a vegan-friendly gravy as their normal gravy has chicken or beef in it (not sure which). They also had vegan cheese to make a super tasty vegan poutine & I saw gluten free options on their menus! The portion sizes were well worth the cost -- at first we thought it may have been a bit pricey but the portions were good. They also serve hot dogs and bratwurts with vegan and gluten free options for both as well. A total little gem that's sure to make everyone happy!

It was the first time for us trying poutine, and we loved it! I guess it's not for everyone (some more organic family members turned their noses up!) But I would have had seconds if I could! We had 2 types and would recommend the ones with pulled pork/ beef? it was delicious. We are converted to poutine, thanks!
