Everyone calls in whether it is for a quick coffee or a full meal. The location is an ideal place to warm up and even better on fondue night.

So disappointed that the pulled pork chilli is off the menu! It was the only reason we ate on the mountain. Definitely eating lunch in the village now

Compared to other on-mountain restaurants, the prices here aren't too bad. Very limited vegetarian options, though, and even the meat-eater's fare is pretty limited. If you're coming from the western lifts, be sure to keep your speed as you get close, because there's a definite uphill to reach the restaurant.

We had stew and butter chicken for lunch here - the food was all good, and they've got an impressive selection at their full bar, if you're after a drink. They could use some more seating (it's very small), but the quality for on-hill dining was higher than expected.
It would be nice to see them use real dishes instead of disposable plates/cutlery, as they produce a huge volume of garbage, which is disappointing.

Ate lunch here, lodge was packed. Only 3 people cooking, so wait time was fairly long. Food was good though, had the burger.

The cinnamon bus are great. Wonderful place to warm up during your day of skiing.
Beautiful timber frame construction inside. Lots of windows and light.

I stopped at this restaurant for lunch and found the food to be tasteless. I will not likely return.

I am used to burgers, poutine, dogs, chilli, and grilled cheese with fries at a mid mountain lodge ... Sun Burst blew us away! I had the black bean soup garnished with bacon bits and sour cream !? My ski pals had a chicken dumpling stew !? What the...? The rest of the menu looked delicious. More ski area food and beverage people should pay attention to this crew. The ciabatta buns were a bit dry but otherwise a very nice lunch. Service was quick and with a smile. I’LL BE BACK!

Best quick eats to fill you up & keep you warm. I had a beautiful chicken dumpling soup & hubby had a stew on a bed of mash potatoe. Awesome. Loved it.

You are skiing or boarding, or you want to just have a bite with unbelievable sights, go!!!! Quick, good food. The stew was hearty, the split pea was tasty, but thin and the beer and wine by the tap.
We walked on the lift for the ride up specifically for a bite and the view courtesy of our family who lives in Sun Peaks, as it was our first visit to their place.
Postcard views, communal atmosphere, tired and hungry people enjoying the 2nd largest ski resort in Canada. Just have fun and do it.
Prices are reasonable for a captive audience.
Just ask if you have dietary restrictions as they will point you in the right direction.

The only low point of our visit to Sun Peaks, the lodge seemed overwhelmed on the day we stopped there. The line was very long and there was no seating available. Everyone seemed to be there for the cinnamon buns (large enough to feed an entire family...) and there were a number of them sitting on the hot food counter to the right but as the line veeeeeerrrrry slowly moved along they all disappeared. A few people grabbed several of them at once, which was no easy feat, and then had to cope with glares from folk further back in line. Probably a good thing the utensils on offer were all plastic or there could have been an unpleasant incident. The counter staff then announced (somewhat testily) that it would be another 25 minutes until more buns were ready. Word spread quickly through the crowd, who murmured their polite disapproval in a manner most Canadian. The unfortunate person on cash had to cope with a number of hangry skiers inquiring about the buns and attempting to pre-order them (not possible, lest the whole bun distribution system collapse under the confusion). This production snafu seemed surprising - if it's the must-have item and there's a massive line of people wouldn't it make sense to make more of them when you see they're running low? I can't eat wheat so the entire spectacle was just entertainment for me, but there were also few options for the gluten-challenged among us. I murmured my own Canadian words of disapproval at this. So, a half hour wait for a coffee and a chocolate bar then back to the hill. (Ok, I could have paid $5 for a fruit cup but that wouldn't have kept my energy up for long). Disappointing. Wish we'd gone back down the hill to Bento's instead.

There were so many people we met on this ski field that suggested the cinnamon bun, it was something we had to get.
The toffey poured over the top is like icing on cake, very different. the bun is huge, enough to keep you full until dinner.
Must try, although it gets super busy here as you can imagine.
PS they even have that chilli sauce most vietnamese Pho places have

Great place to grab a hot drink or one of their cinnamon buns for a sugar fix. The Chilli in the bun is good too.
It was a regular haunt for us whilst in Sun Peaks often to warm up. Though it has seating outside it was a bit cold so it got really packed from 11 onwards inside, though we were there over Christmas and New Year.
I think because it is the snack stop on the mountain it needs to be either increased in size or speed of service improved (that's not a criticism of the staff who were always friendly). We've been there in March and the lodge is quieter
