The staff make the difference at the Old Saltery Pub. They are friendly and helpful. The pub is quite dark and the decor is typically pubish. The tables are well spaced but small. We took a table with a view over the harbour. The menu...offered choice but we opted for a simple burger and fish and chips. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. It was relatively expensive for what it was but priced competitively.More

Food is excellent. That Salmon BBQ is a must have!! Awesome service, friendly and fast service. Well worth the drive in to Telegraph Cove.

Beautiful pub with views of the marina from inside or sit outside (weather permitting). Lots of history on the boardwalk walking out to the pub. Been many times and enjoyed the atmosphere, food and people. Had great entertainment one evening and the whole pub sang...along - even the Aussie staff danced and joined in the fun! Food is fabulous although pricey but it’s an upscale place in the middle of a very unique and historic boardwalk village.More

We enjoyed fish & chips and a seafood pasta for our lunch. As well as a great glass of wine and a perfect pint of beer !!

Ate here before and after our 6 day kayak trip and both times the food was delicious and our server was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the seafood dishes as well as the curry dishes which are amazing!

Called in for early evening meal after whale watching trip. Interior and decked seating. Steak, fish and chips, salmon - all good. Clearly busy with a number of reserved tables and rushed service. Probably one of the better options with limited resort monopoly choices. Four...main meals with two rounds of drinks $160.More

Had dinner here with the family. Staff is friendly enough, but food is poor especially considering the price level. Seafood carbonara both pasta and seafood were overcooked. Asked about fresh fish and staff recommended the halibut. It was so overcooked it was dry and tasted...like frozen food rather than fresh. At 35 dollars for the halibut one could expect a little more. The location is nice enough, overlooking the docks and is in the shade in the early evening so I would recommend coming for a drink only and finding somewhere else to eat.More

We all had the Seafood Options. Seafood Saint Jacques, Seafood Carbonara and Seafood Linguine - all were really tasty and very filling. Although we did manage to share some Torte. Highly recommended

We dropped in here for a couple of drinks to do some trip planning and the smell of the chips and the great looking burger tempted us to have the same. It was a truly excellent meal and the staff service was also excellent. Great...suggestions from the staff for both food and drinks and they went out of their way to make us welcome and make sure we had all we wanted. As we were staying locally, we visited several more times for both food and drinks and our experience was reinforced every time. Highly recommended.More
