Come here regularly for a chai and sometimes a bite to eat. Nice clean location. Unfortunately today was the first unpleasant experience I've had. The vegetarian panini was toasted to the point where it was flattened. Background music was metal rock that made my jaws...clench. Since it is $18 for a small panini and a large chai latte, I come here more for a way to decompress and relax and don't do it too often. Time for a break I think. had an amazing raspberry white chocolate macaron at OMG. then lunch at the new tradition brewing company.. came here after for dessert. a large building and outdoor seating area. a number of patrons. I love gelato but found my selection disappointing. looks like a popular...spot.More

Visiting Comox , I stopped to have lunch. I had my mask on, I disinfected my hands, and the server noticed that , as there were only a few people inside. I think, 4 or 5 people, all together. Noticed , the same server as...last time, and I was hoping she would be a bit nicer, than on my last visit. I placed an order, I payed, including tip, that is already placed on the machine. I thought , in service industry, you have to earn your tip. But I added tip , as well. She said the coffee is around the corner.. Because i had a mask on, I never noticed that she already place coffee in the cup. The mug is white, the table is light color , too. I touched the handle of the cream, as it was on the bottom, almost empty, i touched second container, and it wa s, almost, empty , as well. I called her for help, and she came over furious, that i touched jugs : She said - What did you touch ? Very angrily. -- " She continued : " Now I have to clean everything . Your coffee is here ", pointing toward the mug on the table.. She walked away, and told the tall fellow about me, and he looked towards me.. As I already paid , I waited for my order... I decided not to stay there another minute. I asked for th ebox, and placed my food inside, and left to the car. As i am diabetic, I asked , when I placed my order , what was in the salad. She only said - it is balsamic. Inside were dried cranberries, that I cannot have . Needless to say, my total was close to $ 20.00 . Too much for a very bad experience. I used to work in Hospitality , all over Europe, for many years. I learned to cook and bake from my mom, who worked in 5 star hotel in my hometown of Heritage UNESCO - Dubrovnik. I can say, I make far better Focaccia bread, that panini sandwich is made of. My late friend Serafina was the only person who made it better than me, in her former Italian deli.. I was travelling through, and as a diabetic person, you have to have your meal on time.. I support local restaurants, everywhere I travel.. But I will never ever visit this place again..More

2 families, 8 of us, went to visit. All the kids were happy and the parents that ordered chocolate. The lavender flavour was "meh". ( Both texture and flavour could be improved upon). Overall though, lots of flavours to choose from, clean, friendly service, 7...out of 8 loved their gelato and we will try it again if we need an ice cream fix while in Comox.More

Love the restaurant ambiance. Bright and walking distance to everywhere in the heart of downtown Comox. I sometimes go here twice or even three times a day!! Morning coffee - cappuccino is excellent. Lunch for $5 soup. Always tasty : ) Then summer time take...the kids for gelato on the outdoor patio!! Love the new location at Comox Centre Mall. Great staff are always friendly.More

this gelato shop....has moved and expanded to include some basic "italian" foods. Today one of the features was a Mexican waffle...so go figure....anyway....the food was quite good. I had a panini special that came with a side salad and basic dressing....tasty. My latte was a...tad cold, but still quite good...my partner also had another choice of Panini and it was more or less the same.....good.....my beef and the reason I rated it average is that it seemed to be totally disorganized in the ordering department....one person who was doing the best she could...was stretched between taking orders and creating gelato cones...which resulted in some people who had been waiting in line for 10 to 15 minutes to get served, being left for those wanting gelatos.....not sure what they could do to improve that...but it needs attention. Lastly, everyone behind the counter, seemed to be running around at a very fast pace and opening and closing cupboards and moving trays...all of which should really be out of sight....but....will go back again....and check out what is different next time...More

Decent selection of ice cream flavours but caters to the younger crowd than gelato enthusiasts. I had the chocolate and blueberry gelato. My little boy had chocolate and Berry yogurt. While the chocolate was decent, the other flavours were a bit too sweet. Friendly servers...Clean shopMore

My wife and I lived in the Valley for 5 years, and we have brought our family out here for 6-8 weeks every summer for the past decade. Benino is a Must Go stop after a day out at the beach. The staff are generally...helpful, the restaurant clean and well maintained, and the selection of gelato is amazing. The servings are always nice and big. I have never tried any of the panini selections, as we are usually there as a family for a treat.More

The place does not feel as tidy and well-loved as it once was. The basic flavours of gelato seem to have disappeared and we are left with a fusion of kid-like creations.

Nice selection of ice creams and seating area outside. Popular place with locals and tourists. Cookie dough, apple pie and mango our favourites.

Loved the Gelato and the look of the place , was not thrilled about the staff not to friendly gave you the impression that there there to make money , which I know we all are but to here’s your ice cream now get lost...lol but this was last summer and many things can change , so I will be giving it another few chances and let you know .More
