We had our best meal in Swan River at this restaurant, just lovely, we were treated so well from the moment we arrived, family run, great staff, chef checked in with us , the food was absolutely delicious and we would highly recommend it to anybody. Add a nice bottle of wine, if you are lucky enough to have the delicious corn chowder option, really everything was wonderful, perfectly cooked, right down to the desert sampler. It’s not cheap but the only restaurant around offering gourmet food, and not the standard fried fare.

Eating in a restaurant could mean different things for different people. For me, it’s about the experience, the sum of the ambiance, the hosts, the wine lust and of course the food as the starring protagonist. When you put together an impeccable, non pretentious yet freshly delicious Cesar Salad (that despite being a classic it tastes innovative) and you add great wine and an after dinner conversation with the creators of that experience, then you know that you found a place that it’s worth to come back. Chapeau to Margaret & Doug!!! I’ll be back!

We dined as part of a group of 38 people on our way to Churchill on an Airstream Caravan. The service was amazing, the food perfect, I would not change a thing. The chef and staff accommodated all our requests. It was a perfect evening with great food and friends! Many thanks!!!

I recently ate here while visiting family in Swan River. It was an wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance is relaxing, the staff friendly and attentive and the food amazing. I would recommend this restaurant as a must do.

Everything about Madoco is 5-star, the service and food were out of this world. My goodness, words can’t express how amazing this place is, you just have to come try it out. IT IS WORTH IT, you’ll regret it if you have the chance to try it and you don’t do better check it out

The owners and the food were delightful!
The portions are generous and the presentation was perfect. The food was perfectly prepared. The staff was attentive and gracious. This is a wonderful adventure in culinary delight.

The food and presentation are flawless. The atmosphere and the service are both wonderful. We have been several times and cannot find anything negative to say about any aspect of our experiences here. We drive 1.5 hours from Saskatchewan just for this and will do so again.

Swan River is very lucky to have a dining choice like Madoco in their small city! It is a hidden gem! My husband and I recently visited Swan River and enjoyed a fabulous dinner here; the service was outstanding, the meal delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely return to Madoco next time we are visiting Swan River.

Have been here a number of times without providing a review ... was hard to believe that they could be SO CONSISTENTLY GOOD ... as shown by the many reviews by others. But they are!
We have tried most everything on their menu now, the last being the Prime Rib. I stayed away from this, not because I don't like it, but because I did not think I would find anything as good as what I was used to in Montana & the Dakota's.
I was wrong ... having had it twice now, I can say it is better than most I have had in the U.S. Excellent cut, portion, spicing, & perfectly cooked ... with an au jus that is a cut above the rest . Our son also had the Prime Rib last night & said it was better than what he had at the Keg in Saskatoon a few days earlier.
Then there is the cream soup, spinach salad, rolls, appetizers, & deserts ... all delivered to the table by great servers.
Finally the Wine List ... need to go to the Big City to find something comparable.
This place is firing on all cylinders & as good as we have found anywhere. Keep up the good work Margret & Doug, we really appreciate it.

What a fabulous find in Swan River. While taking in the Northwest Roundup, which I haven’t done since I was a child, my sister and I discovered this hidden gem in Swan River and I have never had such a 5 star service and meal, and I have frequented some higher end restaurants in my time. The chef had a few equipment issues in the back during our visit but you would never have known by what was laid out in front of us! The store front says casual fine dining but the service is top notch. From appetizer to dessert there was no disappointment.

Our group of four were in for dinner March 9th. Absolutely everything from reception to walking out the door was spot on.
Our server Jody was very professional. The food was all delicious and beautifully presented. The decor was classy and yet still comfortable. The chef came out to meet us and we had the opportunity to lavish praise on him. Every part of our experience was five star. Don’t pass this one up if you’re ever in Swan River!
