We were visiting Swan River, from SK, and needed somewhere to eat before a hockey game. We were most pleased with our decision and the food and service was amazing! We were the only ones dining in at the time, however a couple other parties sat down before we left. In saying that, the phone rang often and the take out orders were continuous! It’s a popular place!
The restaurant was clean, everything is home made and tasty. Deluxe won ton soup, deep fried shrimp, lemon chicken, chicken fried rice and a beef dish… I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order. Wish we had a local place like this!

I have previously given a five-star review. It is with great regret that I am posting a one-star review. This used to be a fantastic restaurant, but I can no longer recommend it.
Our experience was disappointing to say the least. The prices have gone up for one thing, and it is now very expensive compared to what we used to pay only a year ago. Secondly, the dishes we received were not the quality they used to be, just one year ago. For example, the Chicken Chow Mein now has "bought noodles" rather than the ones that were prepared in house, and the taste was completely different and totally disappointing.
Furthermore, the Lemon Chicken had a clear and distinct "chemical taste" that we could all easily detect (taste). We pushed the chicken to the sides of our plates. It was not edible. There were no apologies. Not only this, but we were offered no compensation for the dish or a replacement or even a coupon for a future visit! This was unacceptable.
We have eaten here for about 30 years. But at this point, I don't suspect we will be back any time soon.

We were traveling through and asked a local what was the best Chinese food restaurant? And they said “Ten’s.” We ordered some take out a combination dinner and deluxe Won-ton soup and sat and waited. We noticed the restaurant was clean and the decor was nice with the lanterns and fish tank. The food was very good, hot, and tasty and if I lived in Swan River I would go there at least once a week.

It's incredible that every little Canadian town, no matter how small, has a Chinese restaurant. Ten-Hsiang Garden is typical of these restaurants but our visit was enhanced by the friendly manner of the owner. She seemed to know everyone and went out of her way to help an elderly woman reconnect with her daughter following some miscommunication as to where they were to meet. No surprises with the food, a clean facility and friendly efficient service.

This is a great place in Swan River to eat. The restaurant is clean nice decor friendly staff and great food. There is a large Chinese Food section and the good old American Favorites for those not wanting Chinese. The Portions a a nice size piping hot, and yummy! They are great to work with and give you want you ask for!
There is only one concern this is a family owned business who take time to go back to China or Hong Kong or wherever it is their family lives, so the place may be closed for a month or 2. So I advice you call in advance to see if they are open. We have driven there in winter no snow shoveled so we know they are gone.
Otherwise we love this place! Go eat drink and be merry! :)

We've eaten here often while visiting from Alberta. The food came out hot, fresh, and tasty. The lady who owns the place was friendly as always.
The Deep Fried Wontons are the best we've had anywhere, they are fantastic. The Chicken Chow Mein is fantastic. The Pork King-Do Style is also a very nice dish.
This is simply the best Chinese food in the Swan River Valley.

I used to live in the Valley, so grew up with Ten Hsiang Garden Restaurant. Their food is still fantastic, and competes with some of the best in North America.
Their Deep Fried Won Tons are undoubtedly the best I have had anywhere. Their Chicken Chow Mein is fantastic. Their Pork King-Do Style is also a very nice dish. What can I say? They have really great Chinese food!

We visited from Alberta, having formerly lived in the Swan River Valley. I called ahead, and asked if it was possible to make some changes due to special dietary requirements. The restaurant "bent over backwards" to accommodate us.
Every dish was superb. As always, the food was hot, fresh, and tasty. They serve the best Chinese food in the Swan River Valley.
On writing this review, this restaurant was rated number two in Swan River, and in my opinion, it deserves such a high ranking. I've eaten at Chinese restaurants all over North America, and there is little doubt that Ten Hsiang Garden Restaurant has excellent high quality food.

When we get Chinese food we get it from here! Love the wontons, love the special fried rice, love the garlic dry ribs and so much more! It is owned by a lovely family who always give great service and cook excellent food.

I was visiting with friends and as we usually do went out for the best Chinese meal I have ever eaten. I come from a major city to visit several times a year and it is always one of the best poarts of my stay. As well as wonderful tasting food the service is very friendly and efficient and I would highly recommend this restraint to anyone traveling through swan river.

What a surprise for small-town Swan River. A true gem of a Chinese restaurant. Everything made in-house and from scratch. Cosy and comfy and welcoming. Worth every penny.

We eat here all the time. Food is excellent and freshly prepared. Food is not made from pre-frozen, it is made as you order. Very accomodating to diet sensitivities, ie. MSG allergies, gluten intolerence etc. They make the best deep fried wontons ever. We always have to take food to Winnipeg when we visit our friends as they love it. Atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing.Highly recommend.
