We stopped here on the way back from the Hopewell Rocks. It not only is a seafood shop but also a restaurant. We ordered a lobster roll and fried clam basket & fries. The lobster roll came in a nice soft bun and lobster meat...was in chunks with mayo and celery. The clams and fries were cooked perfect. They offer indoor seating or outside seating. We sat outside overlooking the bay at one of the many picnic tables provided. This place is dog friendly, has access directly to the beach, and prices are very reasonable.More

In June, there are only a few places open for food in Alma, so we tried this place for pick up. The food was really not good.

Friendly restaurant with walk-up ordering and picnic table eating outside. Dog friendly and right on the ocean. Great seafood.

Great location. Grab your food and sit by the water. We ordered a lobster roll, chowder, and a lobster dinner. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff.

The scallops had grit in some of them. Very unappetizing to chew on sand. The pasta was undercooked. The lobster roll was enjoyable. It took at least 50 minutes to get our order after we had ordered. Very disappointed 😞

We were looking for freshly cooked lobster which was on the many menus they post around town but we were mislead. The lobsters are precooked and cold. If you want a hot lobster they will steam it. We should have left but tried them anyway....Lobsters were over cooked. Look at elsewhere for fresh lobster.More

Had the lobster roll. Plenty of lobster but too salty for my taste. Roll was nice & fresh. My husband had fish & chips which he enjoyed.

The Alma Lobster Shop has been an annual destination for my wife and I for a few years now. We typically go down for the day to pick up a few lobsters and other seafood treats and sometimes a souvenir. This year we decided to...have lunch there. We both had the lobster roll and it was delicious. The day of our visit, it appeared that the roll had been sourced by the local bakery and it was sublime. Staff are alway helpful and friendly. Besides the lobster this time of year being full and sweet, my favourite feature of this lobster shop is they put the price of the individual lobsters on their large claw. This makes it easy to pick out just the right lobster for your budget. NO GUESSING GAMES. Wished all lobster shops did this! A must visit destination when in Alma.More

Best lobster roll we found. Recommend to anyone who wants good food fresh from the traps. Owners are nice and will tell you how to best enjoy fresh lobster. You can purchase lobster live or cooked.

It's off the main street. I thought it was like a sit down restaurant so it wasn't what i expected. When you enter, it was like your typical live seafood shop. If you wanted to eat there, you would order in here and then go...outside to sit in their picnic table patio. Fried clams were ok. I think i prefer fried oysters better I liked that they served big chunks of lobster. No fishy taste to it. I wish they toasted their buns though. Their single room unisex washroom was interesting. It's in their live lobster storage room next to the main shop. So it's a cooler room. It's an interesting site to see for a minute.More

Like many lobster restaurants in busy tourist areas, Alma Lobster Shop pre-cooks their lobster. This can result in overcooked lobster, which was the case there. Cheeseburger was meh. Would not recommend.

Great food, great views. Ask to see out back where they deal with the live lobster orders. Lobster roll and seafood stew combo will fulfill your eating desires for sure.

Heading from St Andrews to Fundy Rocks and stopped off for a quick bite - a simple order of fish and chips to share. I’ve enjoyed F & C around the UK, Australia, West Coast Canada but these were the best. Completely surprised. The haddock...was superb and chips crisp without being dry. Well done!More
