The waitress told us that the restaurant and hotel are under management since last year. The fish& chips were the best and a very good value for the money. Our waitress Carol was very good. Food was brought out in good timing. Worth a visit!!
This motel was chosen because of the proximity to Hopewell Rocks Park. We wanted to see the park at both low tide and high tide and be able to walk on the ocean floor. The view from the screened deck of the Bay was nice.....the...room was simple, rustic, yet comfortable. The rate was reasonable...the layout of the bathroom was crazy...the toilet was in a cramped corner and the sink was very small. Not a bad place to stay..More
The food was good, but the portions were small for the price. I was disappointed that the waitress did not come back after serving the food and we had to go to the counter and request the bill. The man working at the counter had...to track down our waitress for the bill, and even then she did not come out and talk to us. We won't be back.More
Rates are very reasonable. Bed was comfortable and the back deck sitting is great to relax at the end of the day. The bathroom was a funky layout that was cramped around the toilet but there was a full bathtub with shower that was nice....I would recommend a stay here if in the area.More
While we stayed at the Hopewell Rocks Motel & Log Cabin in May for 2 nights, we had a breakfast there twice (i.e. as it was included in the hotel room cost), but also ate one lunch and a supper in the restaurant. For comparison...their Lobster Dinner was $28.95 whereas down the road a bit, it was $45.00. Breakfast cost for non-overnight guests was $9.99. Enjoyed the rustic decor, friendly staff and nice view.
NOTE: Hotel rooms / units not as highly rated as there are pros & cons and not to everyone's taste or expectations.More
Let’s start out with the positives:
Motel is minutes away from the Rocks. The beds are firm and comfortable. It’s clean. Good for kids. Heated Pool and park with play area. Great gift shop beside restaurant. Breakfast is included. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Negatives:...no shower pressure in our room. Breakfast is minimal but will do. We did not eat at the restaurant but we didn’t get a good feeling from breakfast.
We ate lunch at the cantine at the Rocks. Very good.
We stopped here for lunch after getting rained on at Hopewell Rocks at high tide. There was a reasonable selection of food. My burger was OK but not great - a pre-pressed patty that was fully cooked. While the place was empty when we arrived,...we were joined by several groups doing the same thing - waiting for the tide to go out and the rain to stop - and the place became fairly busy. Our waitress was not very good - slow to take our order, slow to fill water glasses, and very slow to bring back a special request for a small side of mayo. So, this is not a gastronomical paradise by any means. The convenience to Hopewell Rocks is exceptional, however, so sometimes you just need to accept the good with the not so good.More
Due to its proximity to Hopewell Rocks park it’s an easy stop for lunch after a morning spent hiking.
Friendly staff and a large seating area
a very clean establishment all in all
Reasonable prices and decent selection with something for everyone
If you have...fussy younger kids they even offer kraft dinner on the kids menu
Had the lobster roll it was alright
and about average price
They are also connected to a gift shop with lots of items worth perusing
As always try it for yourself and you be the judgeMore
