Not sure what we could have done to give you the 5 star experience we expect our customers enjoy. Sorry you feel your soup was too hot (really ? ) as thats how our mom always served it. Sometimes we would patiently wait for it...More

We ate here twice while in Bonavista. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. Lunch was okay. We had the seafood chowder which was mostly cod, and not pieces more like mashed up. We didn’t enjoy it. Then we went for breakfast and had the...brûlée oatmeal, it was good.More

Something fishy going on here. Sorry you didn't get any shrimp, scallops or mussels in your bowl of chowder, which should have been accompanied by a homemade cheddar biscuit. Chunks of cod are very difficult to obtain in the finished, ready to eat stage as...More

- food was great! - fair pricing - short wait times - friendly staff - table was small -a little bit too cluttered for the size of the place

We stayed in Bonavista for three days. We actually ate all of our meals at Mifflin's because we liked the staff, atmosphere and the wonderful homecooked meals. They offered daily specials and the array of desserts were far too tempting to turn down.

Poor quality (good if you like boiled potato and carrots with no flavouring). Over cooked fish and meat. Servers are friendly.

Our group of three adults booked into “Ocean’s Edge” for a single overnight accommodation and wished we could have spent a week in it while visiting Bonavista and area. The Ocean’s Edge has just recently opened as part of the accommodations offered by Dean and...Liz, the very friendly owners of the Mifflin Tea Room and the Mifflin Inn. The Ocean’s Edge, as the name suggests, is located directly on the shore of the Bonavista Bay with an amazing ocean view from three of the four bedrooms, the living room and the large deck facing the ocean. The house was just recently built and has been finished in top notch order, with bathrooms in each bedroom, queen size beds and sitting areas with a flat screen TV in each room. The separate dining room seats 8 while the living room had two large leather sofas and additional chairs with a large flat screen TV and multiple cable channels. The deck which faces the ocean had several comfortable fold-out executive style chairs. The full kitchen was well equipped with everything you would expect in your own home, including a dishwasher! Overall, the whole experience was SO relaxing and comfortable that we were all sad to have to move on to our next stop. I would heartedly recommend contacting Dean and Liz to book into this absolutely lovely rental home any time you are even remotely in the Bonavista area!More

We went there after it had been recommended by someone who had been there previously. It lived up to the rave review. My husband had the seafood chowder and was thrilled. The ambiance is amazing as well. Definitely worth the stop

We went to this restaurant for lunch and we were not disappointed. The menu is comprehensive making it hard to decide... We went for seafood chowder and it was a full meal. Copious and tasty. Decor is very pleasant and service is warm and welcoming....Nice patio under a big très. Warmly recommends.More

We had two visits to the Mifflin’s Tea Room recently. First visit was for coffee and delicious tea biscuits with raisins. Secondly, we went for lunch and both enjoyed the delicious macaroni and cheese. The service was friendly and the restaurant nicely decorated to create...a warm and cozy atmosphere. We highly recommend this eatery in Bonavista. They do have a large lovely patio for outdoor eating but it was a bit too chilly the days we visited.More

A very small, dining area, so reservations are a good idea. Menu is small but varied. My wife loved the fish chowder (one of the best by her). Cod au gratin was a bit dry - a bit more sauce please - but good. Portions...are quite adequate - you won't leave hungry.More

A very cosy little place. Everything is home made and most at the order, don't go if you're in a hurry, quality food takes some time to prepare. Service is AAA. You must absolutely have the chowder, but everything else on the menu is excellent....Better to book on busy days because it's not a big place.More
