We loved our breakfast in this charming Tea Room. Our server was attentive and our meal was fresh and delicious. We ordered a side of baked beans. So yummy!,

Stopped at this restaurant for a late lunch. Cute outside cafe tables and the inside was decorated nicely too. The seafood chowder was amazing. Chock full of different seafood. Neither of us could finish a bowl. Topped it off with Icelandic beer, which was surprisingly...delicious too. Very enjoyable experience with a friendly, helpful server. Would return.More

This was the best food I had all weekend! I had the red pepper soup to start, with the mac and cheese, and both exceeded all my expectations. Everyone's food tasted fresh and was true comfort food. Very glad we selected this spot for lunch.

Had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. Portions were more than reasonable size and very tasty! Our family had soup which was hot, great flavour but not over seasoned; salad which was fresh and crisp; chicken wraps with fresh chicken not deli meat; and the...best macaroni and cheese we ever had. Wonderful service. Restrooms were very clean also.More

Enjoyed a dinner on the patio in late June. Tried the “Newfie Sampler “ and was not disappointed, a selection of local dishes that was delicious. Service was both friendly, helpful and fast.

I was super excited to go here for our anniversary while visiting Bonavista Newfoundland because it is ranked #1. I am baffled as to why. I made reservations and told them it was our anniversary. I certainly did not need to as it was not...busy. No one inside and open tables outside. We were greater very friendly and server was really waiting for the day to end. I was told my two wine choices were not available so when I reluctantly ordered a third. I received it but was told she found out that my first choice was available after she poured it. Explained that well is wasn’t available yesterday! No offer to get it because she already poured the other one. App was spicy cod bites. They were ok but needed some sort of dip or sauce. I ordered pot roast for dinner. It was dry and gravy was gelatinous. Carrots was not tasty! Mashed potato was good. The only good part of dinner was the key lime pie dessert. Very tasty!More

Charming and perfect! Two friends shared a chicken club sandwich and a fresh and refreshing garden salad. Our main server, Nancy, wins our ‘best server of the trip’ award and ‘most enthusiastic and welcoming’ award! Go Nancy!

The best place to eat in Bonavista. We were there for Dinner and Breakfast. Both were exceptionally good. Their sweets are very good. I went there for Breakfast even if it was not scheduled. The food and service are amazing

Stopped for lunch and enjoyed some traditional Newfoundland dishes. I had been on the lookout for toutons and they didn’t disappoint! Quaint tea house that serves tea by the pot from eclectic pots in classic tea cups & saucers. A great place to relax.

We had a terrible experience at this café in Bonavista as we took 25 participants for an art retreat. I would not recommend the Mifflin's Tea room to anyone. The owner came to Ottawa to harrass us and we had to contact teh Ottawa Police....The owner spoke against the mayor of the town - a mayor who worked so hard to develop a beautiful town. We had a lovely experience with all other establishments in Bonavista.More

We had a reservation so we did not have to wait. We specifically came here to try the traditional Jigg's dinner for Sunday lunch. It was the traditional dinner (salted beef, mashed potatoes, etc), which is what we wanted, but just not our taste. We...also tried toutons, which tasted like the fried dough we have eaten elsewhere...and what could be wrong with anything fried? The french onion soup was really good.More

Good food and portions but a long wait to be served Took over an hour to get the food. The 2 ladies were run off their feet. It was a busy time. As people came after us the service seemed to improve.

We had dinner on a Sunday evening when they had the Jiggs dinner special. We started with the Cod bites. We ordered three sweet and three hot. The sweet were better and were very good. We also shared the Jiggs dinner with beef and gravy....It was more than enough to two to share and we asked for an extra side of the yummy gravy. This is a cute little restaurant with about ten tables inside. Service was very friendly. Try to go on a Sunday for the traditional Newfoundland Jiggs dinner. We went again for dinner the next evening and had the seafood chowder. It was served with a cheese biscuit and they kindly split it into two bowls for us. It wasn’t the best chowder I’ve ever had, but it was okay and the biscuit was good.More

Had a great lunch here on a gloomy cold day. We hiked around Spillars Cove in spite of the inclement weather. Visited Ryan Premises National Landmark. Spent an hour and a half there and then went to Mifflens tea house for lunch. Lovely cozy place!...We each had their seafood chowder which was warm and filling. Also tried a side order of Brewis. We enjoyed the Brewis very much. This place feels like being at your favorite Aunt’s homeMore
