Truly a Jewel!!!! We enjoyed lunch so much we couldn't wait for breakfast!! Soups & sandwiches were delightful. Breakfast was a great experience. Best flavored coffee. muffins and other baked goods. Be sure to take out the date bars for a mmm good snack latter. P.S. the date bars sell out early. The waitress's are so Norman Rockwell you will... More

Thank you for your raving review. We are proud of our little place. The date squares are typically Newfoundland and my grandmother's recipe. We have cut the sugar as the dates are naturally sweet. Our staff are wonderful people and they truly enjoy working there. We are lucky to have them. More

The food was good, the service was good. The ambience was Newfoundland. It was very busy time of year, but they were able to accommodate a group of five.

On the higher end of dining experiences in Rocky Harbour for dinner but I would say it's worth the money for the ambience and the quality of food. They also have a great cafe where you can pick up coffee & baked goods for a quick breakfast, and fuel throughout the day.

Thank you. Yes we offer something a little higher end. We are glad you enjoyed it. The muffins are our own recipe and designed to be a high source of fibre and a high source of protein....to last a little longer. More

I cam from Ontario and ordered the fish cakes with million dollar relish and a fresh salad. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone.

In September, you would have come on one of our last days of the season. However, our portions are considered ample by most. Certainly, we keep an eye on pricing for our guests and for a gourmet meal prepared by our Executive Chef and culinary team in casual fine dining anywhere, this is competitive. More

We had eaten lunch here on a previous trip to Gros Morne (and found it just average), but tried it again for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good enough we returned a second night. Friendly service. Great pan fried cod tongues. Delicious sundried tomato focaccia. Delicious salmon with rice. Decent chowder. Good beet salad. Excellent fish cakes... More

We had dinner here. It was very good. The food was well prepared with local ingredients highlighted. The cafe was also comfortable. Good coffee and baked goods. Good views of the water from the front windows.

We stopped for lunch. Very pleasant spot but there was a bit confusion about dining room upstairs vs a small space with a coffee bar downstairs. Once seated in a nicely decorated room with lots of local artwork we proceeded to order and eat our lunch, Service was excellent and cheerful with good recommendations. As for mussels with feta cheese?... More

We stayed in Norris Point and took a short drive each morning to Java Jacks for breakfast. I ordered a tea latte, a bowl of hot oatmeal and a home made muffin. I was never disappointed. Take out coffee orders was popular. There were only a few restaurants in Rocky Harbour and Java Jacks was pretty much spot on compared... More

The intention to make a fun dining experience is evident with local paintings, funky colours and multiple rooms. A few tables offer a nice view of the harbour. The food however was underwhelming: cooked vegetables were tasty but our fish was dry and overdone, chowder was watery and lacked sizeable seafood chunks. I felt wedged into my table because of...
