This is one place we always try to fit in on any trip to the area. The food is always excellent! This visit they had a special service on; two entrees for one price (and it is a great price). We had the two 10...oz steaks for $50 and two salmon dinners for $40. There is a nice specialty cocktail list and pretty good wine menu. Check before you go, particularly in between seasons, as the hours were reduce to 3 days a week. The waiter mentioned that their other restaurant will be opening soon so there will be a 7-day each week of food available on site.More

The food at Madison’s never disappoints. I had the Honey mustard pork chop dinner. It was delicious. All eight of us enjoyed our meal. Service was great.

Two couples dined here on Saturday evening. It wasn’t overly busy and we got seated without a reservation. Overall, food, service and atmosphere were terrific. Our server was very friendly and we didn’t feel rushed at any time during our visit. Tenderloin steaks and prime...rib were perfectly done. Wife thoroughly enjoyed her maple salmon. 3 of us had French onion soup as an app. It was very hearty, and all 3 of us commented that it could have been a meal in itself as the bowl was huge. Only issue for the evening was with the Scallop app that wife had. She said it was simply delicious, with a tasty bacon jam and the scallops were melt in your mouth. But the portion seemed very small for the price. For $16 (over $21 with tax and gratuity), she was disappointed that there were only 3 scallops on the plate. That worked out to $7 per scallop! No wonder she wouldn’t share with me (LOL). Had the dish held 5 or 6 scallops, that would have been more reasonable. Anyway, lesson learned for our next visit. We will be back for some future special occasion, but won’t order the scallops.More

Hubby made reservations for my birthday. When we arrived we were not on the books. No problem we got a window seat across from the fireplace. I chose a raspberry spritzer and then we focused on the menu. For starters we chose the Brie and...the curried mussels. A glass of wine with our main course: me, salmon and hubby, Pork. For dessert we had carrot cake and sticky pudding. We ordered a Spanish Coffee and Courvoisier. It was a relaxed meal. Food came quickly. Server was attentive. In small town Newfoundland this kind of dining is a real treat. We will go again.More

We visited Madison’s restaurant for my birthday. I really didn’t know what I wanted but I ordered the Honey Mustard Pork Chop dinner and it was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The only thing I didn’t like was the leaf of...kale placed under the chop. All four of us really enjoyed our dinner. Our server was excellent. I really enjoyed everything.More

We had the wings which were ok and the pizza which could have been better. We had heard that other menu items were much better, so I would recommend trying something other than the wings & pizza.

The original version of Madison's was a high end restaurant with prices to match and a limited menu. It was great for special occasions but a bit pricey for the casual traveler. All this has changed with an expanded menu. Prices for appetizers are in...the $12 range. For entrees the prices range from $16 to $25 with steak a bit pricier. In addition to the steak and seafood dishes, there are pastas, curry and burger/sandwiches. Wine and cocktail prices are reasonable. Vegetarian and gluten free meals available. Service was great.More

This used to be my go to restaurant back a few years ago when Chef Nathan was in the kitchen. It went down hill after he left. I visited the restaurant again last week for the first time in a year. It has greatly improved....I would recommend people try Madisons again. Food was excellent but service was below average. I will be back.More

We were celebrating a life milestone. Madson’s was the perfect choice. The service was wonderful. The food was amazing. Each of us had a different dish. And Madison’s did not disappoint. The lamb curry I ordered was amazing. The restaurant sources local lamb. One of...our party had the cod which was fresh and done to perfection. Another had the tenderloin done in a Korean sauce. It was so tender and tasty. The fries were incredible. The best I’ve ever had. We finished the meal with Creme Brûlée. Melt in your mouth. All in all a most memorable evening ❤️🥂❤️More

A recent 4 night trip to Corner Brook (winter vacation) really shows that Corner Brook is lacking on the food scene......a quick view of the top rated restaurants on Trip Advisor will show that. Stayed at Marble Inn & Suites so opted to dine in...the hotel restaurant one night.....is billed as "fine dining".....didn't really get that...suspect "fine dining" more reflective of the price rather than the ambiance. The menu was not extensive, but offered a very good variety....and the wine options were quite good as well. We did find the prices a touch high for what we got (portion size). The lamb curry was very tender and flavorful but lacking somewhat on the lamb and big time on curry sauce......pizzas were wonderful but again, the $24 pricepoint was high...... Did feel a bit bad for our server who was trying to play the role of a fine dining waiter but struggled with the menu and pronunciation of a few of the specials (yikes!) All in all very enjoyable.....would eat here again...a solid option for a visit to Corner Brook......don't be scared away by the "fine dining" but be prepared to drop more than a few $$$$$....More

We stopped for dinner on an early August evening. We had a reservation and got right in, and got a window table looking out on the front porch and opposing hillside. The service was excellent, and while the menu was sparse, we all enjoyed our...meals a lot. The only downside was that it was extremely warm in the dining room, and the waitress said that they don't have any A/C to cool it down.More

Ate here several years ago and it was much better food and service. Seems to be a total turn-over of staff and i can assume the chef has changed. Too bad; it used to be my favorite.
