Was here two years ago and enjoyed the best fish & chips EVER…. Today,,, oh boy.. no longer a sit down and be served with a menu service. Ordered at the counter,, full menu change, NO fish and chips and well I thought, I love...seafood chowder. We both received a mini bowl of chowder and a warmed store bought bun. Chowder tasted like watered down Luke-warm milk, not to mention the lack of seafood. Don’t waste time looking, you might find one piece of scallop and traces of fish. After covering it in salt/pepper we managed to force it down….. why wouldn’t you when it was $41 for two ladle/bowls and ONE coffee. And I had to ask twice for a glass of water. The other guest didn’t get one, I know prices went up everywhere but this was barely edible. We won’t be backMore

The staff is very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. The menu have great selection. The food was just simply scrumptious, we had the seafood platter, fish and chips and crab cake with salad. Very generous portions, pls do not under estimate the crab cake and salad,...very filling and lots of crab meat. Highly recommended!More

I think we had high expectations of casual fine dining for our last night in Trinity. Unfortunately, the pasta dinner was cold, and the steak dinners were undercooked. Dinner was quite expensive and the menu was hardly any different from the Dock Marina (which we...enjoyed on a previous night). I was disappointed that our server did not ask us why we hadn’t eaten our meals - but in hindsight I should’ve addressed it myself. I had booked a reservation very early prior to leaving on vacation because it looked so quaint and welcoming. If you are looking for a finer experience, I would try the Artisan Inn. We didn’t end up eating there because it is a prix fixe meal - but in the end I wish we had.More

We stopped in for lunch before starting our tour of Trinity. We had been eating a lot of fish on our travels so decided to have hamburgers. Great choice! The patties were homemade and the fries my husband had were hand cut. The salad I...had with my burger was very fresh. Even though we arrived just after a bus tour the service was excellent. Nice, bright atmosphere.More

The food is absolutely delicious. Service couldn't have been better. Ambiance is delightful. Two of my favorites are the Fish and Chips and the Seafood Chowder.

I had breakfast here during my stay as well as enjoyed a nice dinner. Breakfast was great in spite of Covid - fresh fruit, yogurt, muffin / bagel / bread, coffee/tea and juice. They always made sure I had enough and offered more. Dinner was...also very nice - the fish cakes were lovely and served with a nice rhubarb chutney. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Much better service than at the Dock Marina!!!More

A good place to enjoy a real Newfie dinner. We had cod tongue with mash potatoes which was ample and delicious, rich carrot cake for dessert. Service was nice and attentive. The decor OK but nothing special and could do with a facelift.

The room is rather plane, the service was slow, the food ok, Chowder bland, crab only luke warm. There isn't much choice in Trinity and this is not the best.

After shopping in Eriksen Premises’ gift shop we were feeling a tad peckish … so we went next door to Sophia’s for afternoon tea. A nice cuppa is always welcome, but the desserts were incredible!! My wife had something called “Lemon Lush”, suffice to say...that the bottom is made of a combination of shortbread and pecan then came several layers of … hard to explain, better to sample! After checking into the B&B, we thought of various places to go for supper, but based on our afternoon’s experience – returned to Sophia’s and had magnificent Caesar salads, my wife had a delicious seafood chowder, while I had an incredible bowl of Carrot & Ginger soup. The reason we did not do a main course, is because we knew about their incredible desserts … and they impressed us even more! Since we had checked into the B&B, this meant we got to enjoy a magnificent breakfast at Sophia’s. A couple of days later, we returned to the Gift Shop to pickup a couple of items we failed to get the first time … so we ended up having to partake in lunch … at Sophia’s. Did I mention they have incredible desserts – no need to ask for anything more!More

There are two rooms, so you could easily be accommodated away from the bus group. A reservation is generally not needed, but if you are worried about tour groups, it wouldn't hurt to have one.
