The food is absolutely delicious. Service couldn't have been better. Ambiance is delightful. Two of my favorites are the Fish and Chips and the Seafood Chowder.

I had breakfast here during my stay as well as enjoyed a nice dinner. Breakfast was great in spite of Covid - fresh fruit, yogurt, muffin / bagel / bread, coffee/tea and juice. They always made sure I had enough and offered more. Dinner was...also very nice - the fish cakes were lovely and served with a nice rhubarb chutney. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Much better service than at the Dock Marina!!!More

A good place to enjoy a real Newfie dinner. We had cod tongue with mash potatoes which was ample and delicious, rich carrot cake for dessert. Service was nice and attentive. The decor OK but nothing special and could do with a facelift.

Food was good and staff were amazing! Great views to enjoy your fresh cod (offered in various ways) and the ambiance of a lovely old house.

The room is rather plane, the service was slow, the food ok, Chowder bland, crab only luke warm. There isn't much choice in Trinity and this is not the best.

After shopping in Eriksen Premises’ gift shop we were feeling a tad peckish … so we went next door to Sophia’s for afternoon tea. A nice cuppa is always welcome, but the desserts were incredible!! My wife had something called “Lemon Lush”, suffice to say...that the bottom is made of a combination of shortbread and pecan then came several layers of … hard to explain, better to sample! After checking into the B&B, we thought of various places to go for supper, but based on our afternoon’s experience – returned to Sophia’s and had magnificent Caesar salads, my wife had a delicious seafood chowder, while I had an incredible bowl of Carrot & Ginger soup. The reason we did not do a main course, is because we knew about their incredible desserts … and they impressed us even more! Since we had checked into the B&B, this meant we got to enjoy a magnificent breakfast at Sophia’s. A couple of days later, we returned to the Gift Shop to pickup a couple of items we failed to get the first time … so we ended up having to partake in lunch … at Sophia’s. Did I mention they have incredible desserts – no need to ask for anything more!More

We were a large family group of about 35 people and we were so pleased with the service and the food. Our meals were well prepared, so tasty and menu substitutions were not a problem when needed. Lobster had to be pre-ordered when we made...the reservation so they made sure they had enough. Other menu items were all available at the table and portions were generous. We would highly recommend this restaurant for groups and individuals and would make it a point to eat there again given the chance.More

There are two rooms, so you could easily be accommodated away from the bus group. A reservation is generally not needed, but if you are worried about tour groups, it wouldn't hurt to have one.
