I had the cod bites with Caesar salad; my husband had the fish and chips. My salad was not bad but nothing special either. The dressing came from a bottle rather than being made in-house. The cod bites had a high batter to fish ratio. I thought my husband's fish and chips were pretty good, although he thought they were... More

Stopped in for lunch. Very charming atmosphere and good food. As with most establishments in rural Newfoundland the staff were friendly and accommodating. It is situated over the water with great views from the balcony. I would definitely recommend this establishment for informal dining and drinks.

We stayed at Woody Point 1 week for a hiking trip. We heard about this place. We even went there two times. The staff, the food, everything was perfect. The menu is very complete. You should order the Fish and Chips with sweet homemade potato fries and the chipotle sauce....just AMAZING !! And don't forget the desert... homemade brownies and... More

We visited the merchant warehouse for lunch earlier in the week. We had fish and chips which were delicious and the owner chatted with us for a bit. She was very funny and engaging. This is a great spot for lunch or for a few beers. It looks like they have live entertainment as well. Great view too.

We ate here twice after hiking in the region. It's a lovely, cosy little place with an adorable '50s-style diner out front and a bar and dining room out back with a great seaside deck. The decor is lovely. On a rainy afternoon it's a great place to sit and drink tea while playing Scrabble or cards (provided by the... More

An old restaurant right on the water in Woody Point. Food was priced reasonably but very average, and the beer was a bit on the expensive side but still worth drinking (Iceberg Beer for the record - worth it). There are much better establishments to spend your money at and get better food for the same money.

We stopped here on our way through Grosse Morne NP. We enjoyed the outside deck on a beautiful and sunny day. We did a sampler of Quidi Vidi beers and did some snack foods while we enjoyed the breeze and the ocean. The food is average, but the setting is well above average. The place is decorated with all kinds... More

There are lots of options; sit on the waterside deck with views of Gros Morne Mountain and the Tablelands, sit inside, hang out at the bar or go back in time at the soda fountain. Staff were very friendly and our fresh fish and chips with Quidi Vidi beer was the perfect meal for our first night on The rock

Great meal and beer. We were happy with everything here. They had three unisex bathrooms that were really nice too. Over all we approve!
