That is, the Doryman is the place to go if you want to experience some of the unique Maritime (franglish) culture of the area. Friendly service and a view to the 'island'. Wish i could have caught some live music and seen the locals 'step-dancing'.

I came into Chéticamp late in the off season looking for dinner. Doryman was open and I decided to give it a try. The menu is typical Canadian dinner fare with a few surprises. One of those was the pan-fried panko fish-n-chips and it was...More

Stopped here particularly because of the music at lunch. A gentleman named Mike Hall was playing the fiddle, singing and talking to the crowd. Enjoyed a very good hamburger with homemade fries. Sports bar atmosphere with televisions, pool table and a large dining area.

We came here after a long day of hiking and it was exactly what we needed. Decent food, good beer, local crowd and best of all, live music from some local talent! A perfect place to spend the evening. We recommend the haddock burger.

Was disappointed in some of our meal. Was excited to see crab cakes, as crab is so sweet and moist. So ordered 2 crab cakes for 8.00. It came on a piece of lettuce with some coleslaw, lemon slice and a tomato on the side....More

We went here for supper and had a lovely experience. We had fish and chips which was fresh, the batter crispy and homemade fries. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint.

Food very average, our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Not an awful dinner, but not great one either.

Stopped by this wonderful spot for lunch on a day trip out of Baddeck. My wife and I both chose the large bowl of seafood chowder which was the best we had eaten this side of Chicago. Loaded with seafood, thick and rich and not...More

We enjoyed our meal here. Food was excellent and the service great. Our server, Lola, was a joy to talk to as she gave us a lot of information on the history of the area and spent time with us. The meals were reasonably priced...More

An original pub built in 1966 with astonishing view of the harbour and Cheticamp Island. Watch fishing boats or whale tour boats while enjoying a fabulous meal, a cold drink, or listening to one of our raved ceilidhs or live music acts. Many locals eat and/or come for fun at this laid back pub. We hope your experience is up to par, and welcome comments on Tripadvisor...
