Be aware, very few places to choose from all along this coastal area. Places open after 8am, close early so do your homework! Co-ops best for DIY food and snacks but make sure you know which ones are open and which may have a liquor...More

Donut shop opens at 5:39 am, Evangeline serves breakfast and opens at 6:30 am. Motel has buffet breakfast as well. :). A short 40 miles. ;)

Ate here one evening, it is what it is...... a diner serving passable food, quite bland and uninspiring. Service was friendly enough and sitting outside overlooking the water was pleasant. It’s ok, but not worthy of the positive reviews abounding on here.

In a word, horrible. The lobster meat in the lobster roll was not fresh. Had to return my wine order due to a dirty glass. Worst meal of the trip.

My husband, daughter and I stopped here for a quick but hearty lunch on the start of our drive through the Cabot Trail. We got a bunch of soups and a pulled pork sandwich and everything was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the...More

It doesn't look like much but don't let appearance deceive you. Large selection of food, good fish n chip, excellent fricot (you got to try this acadian specialty) and friendly service. We had dinner on location one night and went the next evening to grab...More

Spent 4 days along the Cabot Trail & 4 days in the Halifax area, and after our trip (and LOTS of food), this was still the place we kept talking about. It’s a small unassuming place that sits on the water in Cheticamp. We had...More

This is the second time this has happened. Went there for lunch with my sister and her husband. We all ordered chicken mushroom crepes. Their orders came out first and looked yummy. Mine not so much. Four small pieces of chicken, one mushroom cut in...More

I specifically went there as it looked like a promising place for seafood chowder. The service was fine, but the chowder tasted like clam chowder rather than seafood chowder. The items within it were almost microscopic and the scallops were so tiny that it was...More

We are sorry you were disappointed. Most people boast as to how much seafood is in our chowder compared to othere places. We do not claim to have the best chowder. We say we are known for our chowder because that’s what most people review...More

Stopped off for lunch while driving the Cabot Trail. It's a no frills place: the menu is chalked on a blackboard and you order at the counter. But oh! the fish tastes wonderful. Superb.
