We stopped by this roadside seafood restaurant in the early afternoon to check it out after reading excellent reviews. Because of COVID, we decided to order takeout for dinner. We were greeted very warmly and advised to place orders early to ensure availability for dinner...pick up. We both ordered the seafood platter and it was EXCELLENT- delicious, plentiful and very reasonably priced. We can’t say enough about the quality of the food and the friendly, helpful service. Definitely worth a meal there!More

We stopped along our travels on the Cabot Trail for lunch during the week. We sat on the enclosed patio overlooking the water. The restaurant had such a homey feel to it. My daughter had the best fish and chips ever; a nice thick piece...of haddock with a small amount of the best tasting batter. The fries were plentiful and perfectly cooked. I had the scallop burger with battered scallops and my son had their “nachos”. We all enjoyed our meal and will go back if we have the chance.More

This was a very friendly, good home-cooked food restaurant along the Cabot Trail in Ingonish. I enjoyed a Lobster Club Sandwich and my husband had sautéed scallops. We both received generous portions and delicious food. We shared a ginger cake for desert.....if you have any...room left after the main, highly recommend this dessert....cake in a caramel sauce!...yummy!More

Really lovely diner - huge portions. I had the veggie wrap with fries (very fresh!), my mom had the chowder (very filling and a good biscuit) and my dad had had the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. We all enjoyed!

We ate here twice. The lobster roll was the best I've had in Nova Scotia--lots of fresh lobster (none of the frozen stuff!) Clams strips were great. Portions are very generous. It's good home cooking--no fancy spices but ingredients speak for themselves.

We love coming to this restaurant when we visit CB. The seafood is always fresh, perfectly cooked with friendly service.

My family has eaten at the Sea Gull dozens (and dozens) of times. Whether we eat in or take out, the food is always delicious. I've tried different dishes most times I've been there, and it's all been fantastic (but the lobster club sandwich is...can't-beat). This isn't fancy - it's simply, friendly, homey, and wonderful with a gorgeous view of the Atlantic. The service is always, always friendly - they know our order right away based on my father and sister's always-consistent orders. If you're in Ingonish and want a great meal, stop by the Sea Gull!More

This place was very busy. The fish and chips are a reasonable price and really yummy, as is the coleslaw. The chicken strips are real chicken, as is their cheeseburger. Everyone in the family, including two teens and a picky eater, loved dinner.

The food was great at a reasonable price, a nice change from being disappointed when eating out. We ordered a pound of muscles as well as a spinach salad which for the price I could not believe the size of the bowl, I also had...a fish sandwich which was very satisfying. Would definitely recommend.More

Had to eat here because reservations at the Keltic Lodge restaurant apparently weren't taken. Excellent food and service!

The decor is plain but the food and view are great. Staff were friendly and cheery. We visited for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was.
