This lovely Cafe in Mabou Nova Scotia was a delight. We decided to get some lunch on Mother's day and did not have a reservation. The lady checked out back and said we have room for you and your family. I had the turkey club sandwich and french fries with a Coca Cola. The turkey in the turkey club was... More

A wonderful evening meal with friends! Was a bit difficult to decide what to choose, and our waitress was very helpful when we asked for her input 😃I was hard pressed to not go with my usual fish & chips (or salad ), but was not disappointed with the Chicken Parmesan !! And even though we were all quite full,... More

Being in Mabou in January doesn't give you many options. We were staying nearby and this was the only open restaurant. Nice warm décor...looks like it would have a great view in the summer. Service okay, although we never did get the second glass of water we requested. The meals seemed to arrive out from the kitchen in an odd... More

Always a delight; food excellent; staff friendly; clean and convenient if you are staying in Mabou... if you have a large party I would recommend a reservation!

We were travelling with another couple through the Cabot Trail and Newfoundland. Along the way, we ate at numerous restaurants, trying various seafood dishes, as well as chowders. We can honestly say that this was the BEST chowder we had during our two weeks of travel.

This is a small off-beat restaurant in a tiny little community that abounds in majestic scenery in Mabou, Nova Scotia. I recently took my elderly mom here in August for a birthday outing. It was a rainy, blustery day and there were a great deal of travelling tourists as well as locals. There was a lengthy lineup, and I was... More

I had the seafood chowder here a few times many years ago and its memory was vividly lodged in my brain. So when we visited Cape Breton for Celtic Colours, I had to go back for the chowder. I was disappointed. The seafood chowder was OK, but nothing to rave about -- the garlic bread I had with it was... More

A very pleasant surprise. This little restaurant has hometown charm. It was the largest quarter pound hamburger that my friend had ever seen and it tasted wonderful! The vegetables were prepared well and desserts were amazing!
