We stopped here for a late lunch and I was surprised at how busy it was. To me that's always a good sign! The service was very good and fast. The tables were spaced out for COVID and I felt very safe eating there. I'm...gluten free and ordered the fish cakes and salad. Salad and dressing were amazing. The fish cakes were more potato than fish. My husband tried them and said the same. He had the pan fried haddock. A nice serving of fries was added instead of salad. It was good, and I would definitely give it another try sometime I'm there in the future. It was nice to know they had a gluten free brownie for desert as well.More

We dined here five years ago on our trip east and loved it. This visit was a big letdown. Service was beyond slow. Waited almost an hour for our food and two of the orders were wrong. Thought it might be a one of, but...on our second go, service was slow and the food was cold. Hardly any pies for desert...just apple. Sad to see this diner losing its vibe. It used to be a highlight of our vacation.More

A great find on our wine tour. Local place, homemade from scratch recipes. Soup and sandwiches were our lunch special. Everyone finished their great meals with a slice of pie. Three couples, four different pies, all amazing. Terrific service and all at amazing low prices.

The motel room was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the heated indoor pool. I cannot however recommend the cafe. Very limited menu not particularly well prepared and expensive.

Evangeline was walking distance from our Airbnb. It’s in the midst of wine country. My wife had the eggs benny (12.00) and I had the East Coast breakfast. The hollandaise sauce was spot on. The east coast breakfast had salted cod fish cakes which was...delicious with the green tomato “chow”. I upgraded to local blue berry pancakes in place of toast. It was a great move as the pancakes and local maple syrup were splendid. The beans were ok. The bacon was good and the eggs well cooked. The breakfast was around $30.00 CAD with 2 coffees and taxes. Friendly people. Diner is located below the Inn.More

Date of Visit: Thursday, June 20th , 2019 We stopped into the Grand Pre INN restaurant for breakfast on our way to Grand Pre Historical site. This is an absolutely adorable little restaurant, that exemplifies everything that I love about visiting nova Scotia. It is...cute, and cozy, it is an adorable place. The ladies working there reminded me of all of my aunts and cousins who lived in Nova Scotia through the years. They are very friendly, soft spoken, nice, sweet ladies who make you feel like you have been invited into their home for breakfast. It is just a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. I had the blueberry pancakes made with fresh local blueberries and real maple syrup. Others had the eggs benedict, which were perfectly prepared and delicious. The cost for our breakfast was very inexpensive. The only regret is that we didn’t stay at the INN itself. This was a perfect place to enjoy breakfast – fresh, delicious, friendly, homey, and comforting.More

Stopped here for the first time on a hot day in July. We sat inside in the air conditioning. We all had the special. A chicken wrap when cranberries. Two of us had the fries and one had the soup of the day. No complaints....Very friendly staff. A nice spot right off the highway. I hope to go back someday.More

We went here for lunch. I had the fish burger. It was grilled haddock, and it was one of the best fish sandwiches that I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly. On our trip to Nova Scotia, I had haddock at least three times....This was one of the best because it was not fried. My husband was sorry that he ordered something else--the fish chowder. We had a piece of blueberry pie and were not disappointed. The prices here are quite reasonable.More
